If you divide 56.5 inch gauge by 16 inch gauge it comes to 3.53125 or about 3.5 inches to 1 foot. That doesn't mean the rest of the locomotives or cars are built to that scale though. You would need to check at least one known dimension like width to be able to tell. Height and length are not to scale. Length may be closer though. Live steam 7.5 inch gauge is about 1.5 inches per foot scale for standard gauge equipment.
No. He's talking about how much it costs to burn coal. He said, " Burning coal, every ten miles that's 220.00 bucks, ppppppppbbttttt, right up the stack." Just a sound effect to describe something being consumed (typically money) in a quick fashion.
Totally enjoyed the Whiskey River. Keep em coming!
What beautiful locomotives.
What fantastic looking loco's
Nice demo with the turn table on the Whiskey River Railroad.
• Cheers from Michigan
Very cool. What a Beauty of a steam train.
Old is gold very good
I would love to see a mini shay on this railroad, too bad there isn’t one.
On my bucket list now.
first! thats some cool stuff there! great video as always
American narrow gage railway, some awesome locomotives. No.12 Whiskey river, Black 1919 Lee W Merrick
I Love Steam Locomotives. :-D
Excellent
Fantastic
Has anyone tried to recreate one of the njc k5 blue comet Pacific's? If so what's the possibility of a video on it?
If I had enough money I would just pick up and go to Wisconsin right now, for the TRAINS!!!!!
I wanna do something like that too but 1. We don't have a railway like this near and 2. I'm not that skilled in mechanics right now
im young, but i know engine mechanice and would love to operator one of these locos myself
Dear Santa.......
Illinoisrailfan 1630 i've like a 16 gauge steam locomotive to run on my ranch!
These are works of engineering art.Just the right size ,for scale detail. What is the scale ratio?

Don't know about all the locomotive but no.1919 is 1/3"scale
Did not realize coal was so expensive.
What is the boiler diameter
I'm the 15,000 Subscriber...Jesus
Is open to the public to ride?
Yes the the railway operates with the little america amusement park
+Mason Hoven Oh, okay. Thanks
Hey, how can I apply there to drive a steam locomotive?
JJespano01 come up one day when we are operating and talk to the engineer
i mean that i know a steam locomotive coupler to cowcatcher
a lot bigger than 16 inch. We ran 17.5 at LALS and they are half that size
its the track width not the loco size
@Bob Kohl nothing in that comment is accurate. Whiskey River IS 16” Gauge. LALS does NOT run anything that is 17.5....you’re looking for 7.5” Gauge
No steam horn?? Not even once!
How much does the 1919 Steam Engine weigh? And is there anyway I could send an email to you with some questions about these engines?
The 1919 weighs 8.5 tons in working order. I've been helping the railroad for about 9 months, so I know a bit about it.
2 manpower to turn the turntable. Interesting.
what I wouldn't give to work there
I wonder if they have a temp program or something like that
hi
did he fart 3.38?
el hombre muñoz I think so.

So go and build one.
Building these can cost up to over 2000 dollars
Add a few more zeros to make it $200,000 and I’d still say you’d be low 😉
Lol
