Lee has since died, and Darryl now owns the place. I've known Darryl for like 30 years...I'm friends with his kids...and the park is still doing great. Every summer the parking lot is packed.
This is a beautiful train ride in the state of Wisconsin. I would like to visit this miniature railroad. The four steam locomotives are amazing. One of them is old, the other used to be at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. The other is pretty cool little engine, and the only one with a different wheel arrangement, and the other looks similar to Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad #5.
Worked there for the last two summers before this one-Lee Merrick's gone-never met this man, but he's interred personal mausoleum on a hilltop overlooking the tracks-Darryl's in charge of everything now-VERY nice man to work for!!!
@@po9318 Darryl is cool as hell. I've known him since I was a kid in the early 90s. Besides building trains, he plays bass in a cover band. I've sang with them a ton of times, and he's a blast to party with.
You do realize nobody asked you for your opinion on this video. and what's wrong with steam locomotives? I love steam locomotives. Diesels are okay but long live steam!
@@masonhoven8588 You tell him Mason!!! You and the rest of the train crew there do an EXCELLENT job there and it's something to be proud of. Little jerks like this Cockroach don't have any clue what they're talking about. It was good to see you out there yesterday and ride behind your locomotive, by the way!!!
