I was in a very bad space mentally with loosing, this video really put it at rest for me, I'm 31 and ifi only saw these competitions as a day of fun and a sports day, that's all that matters
Hello. I'm a physically disabled 42 year old man. I just recently (like 3 days ago) came across one of your video's. From what I've seen and heard, had I not been born disabled, so many more of the choices I would have made sound very familiar to a lot of the experiences you've had. I always had a dream of serving (wanted to be an A10 pilot) but couldn't enlist due to the physical disability. You're very inspirational. Just the topics you discuss, the way you discuss them... awesome dude. Thank you for your service and thank for protecting my family. Had my circumstances been different, maybe we would have served together.
Listen to them talk about Ryan Job. Not physically disabled, but he was totally blind after being shot in the head. He still climbed Mt. Ranier, which multiple climbers die trying to climb every year and earned a 4.0 Business GPA in the classroom. He also shot an elk. Not exactly your default expectations for a blind man. He dreamed of being a top gun pilot and was devastated but accepted what happened, learned to love the upsides and appreciate those who helped him survive, and saw what he could do and how he could still push his limits.
Yoh I have to say this man, this podcast is like a becon of light in life. The information and the advice that is given here will protect you in this world. Now more than ever.

question my 16-year-old son wrestles in high school and started jiu jitsu june this year and now wants to learn Muay Thai boxing. what do you think about Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand?
You learn from it and get on with it look at were you went wrong look at its a positive because you will know we’re you went wrong next time depending on what you need to work pick one thing and do that for a whole month for eg bottom guard if you struggle with that do that for. A month you will be surprised how much learn and take away from it ask for feed back as well from the person you rolling with roll with bigger than you as well. Kind regards Jesse chapman If there’s will there’s way
Jaco want to come out and speak about what the president said about the veterans can you do that he said we are losers kind of president is that we told me
This Jocko guy wants to persuade us to be tough, disciplined, strong in life. He obviously didn't suffer from chronic severe acne, also he isn't short or skinny, he is masculine, big and intimidating. It's easy for him to be respected by men and desired by women. He hasn't eczema in his head or looks like a boy in his face. Life is easy for him. Physical appearance is absolutely important in life except if you have not a problem when even women look down on you and never be interested in you. Things that you can't change, leave them, they say, but these things can't leave you, everyday you will be reminded by people that you are not valuable.
Yes I agree that he is tough and has a presence that makes it easier for him to gain respect. At the same time, many men who are tough/successful/confident today were not always like that. We all have the potential to be great people, but often feel the delusion that we can't. Everyday we have a choice between working towards our goals, or embracing negativity and defeatism. I'm not superman, but I'm doing better in many ways than I though possible 10 years ago. If you are struggling with your problems, know that many others have been in a similar place and understand what it feels like. If you really want to find your happiness and success, then learn to disregard the negative thoughts your mind generates and work towards your goals. Look for positive people and work on becoming one of them each day
@@jr7000 Society doesn't let some people with genetic disadvantages succeed. Maybe someone will be successful in his financial game, but he will never be in his personal life. If a person feels happy being with women and he doesn't find anyone, how can he become rich, famous, etc. He has to be firstly good with himself knowing that he is accepted to continue to the other parts of his life.
Transfering your pain into passion is one the greatest keys to any sport & life as a whole !!!
If you can really do it, not everyone can!

It’s all about growth. Keep growing and beating you from the past and you can’t help but win in the future.
Really needed to hear this message right now; thank you Jocko

Losses are assessed differently in battle depending on whether you are an attacker or defender, the scale of the loss and the stakes of the objective.
John C Maxwell wrote a book that perfectly sums all of this up..."Sometimes you win...sometimes you learn"
Failing Forward. I read that five times and I need to read it again.
Very grateful to all men in uniform!
In the service of their country!
Godspeed Man!
Life lessons!! Man this guy brings it!!! Best wishes from another youtuber 🔥🤘🔥🤘
Its not about winning or losing. Its about learning.
I fought in more than forty jiu-jitsu tournaments. I lost the first fight in all of them.
The timing of this video is perfect

Fully understand your shortcomings and they become your strengths.
I'm still struggling with getting into it, let alone losing at it.
Happy birthday. Mr. willink
Understand it’s a big world. If you dedicate yourself and do your share of winning, it can be a little easier to accept some losses here and there

I often have losses... because of my SKINNY KNEES :’(
Don't dwell. Don't dwell on your loss.
The past is a place of reference, not a place of residence.
If you won't be dwelling on it in 5 years then it's not worth dwelling on it for 5 mins
I like the show!
Jocko is scared of Jocko staring back at him on Echo shirt lol
Podcast 246 is with JP!
I lost my first competition today
