  • You could call this the "Skynyrd Trick" or "Southern Rock," really it shows up everywhere tasty guitar is heard.
    All you've gotta do is move your trusty minor pentatonic form (you know, the best scale) back 3 frets. Voila - you are now in major pentatonic! This is so very very useful for all those times you're tired of bluesing over everything. If a song is in a major key, or major-ish, this trick works wonderfully.
