The fact that Joakim was cool with Nanowar of Steel doing a parody of Sabaton, and that he even poked fun of himself in the video, shows what an awesome human he is. Oh yeah, PLEASE react to Uranus. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!
As a football fanatic I don't know how the hell I missed this lol It's a Sabaton song with war lyrics about the world cup final 1994, where Italy lost to Brazil. Nanowar of Steel did it again.
I remember that the they came home as celebrated heroes. 😃🇸🇪 I actually watched that bronze medal match on a small tv at a pub in our town. At the same time it was a town festival, so when Sweden won the match, people went crazy, running out on the streets, jumping into the fountains..
Nanowar's general sound is "add metal to any music genre in existence" and then they make a parody song (I think once they were asked what kind of metal they would play, and they answered that they don't really play a specific one). 😂 Some examples of those parody mixes I could name off the bat are: "Norwegian Reggaeton" (Reggaeton + Death/Black metal), "Valhalleluja" (Christmas gospel + Heavy metal) and the most recent "Disco Metal" (90s EDM + Metal).
And that is also only part of their catalog cause another big part is emulating a band's sound and inviting a legit member of it to participate like they did with Barbie MILF Princess in Rhapsody style with Fabio Leone,Uranus in Steel Panther style with Michael Star, Armpits of Immortals in Manowar style with Ross the Boss and while not including members of Blind Guardian, Quest for Carfour.
@@galadballcrusher8182 Yeah! It's amazing how they can "metal-parody" pretty much all sort of things, and also have these big names as special guests. And their songs are silly (as they should be) but also legit bangers. ❤
This has to be one of the best parodies ever and the fact Joakim kept from laughing his ass off, he deserves a medal. Aside from Rob Halford, he's probably the nicest guy in metal.
They go so hard core. So stupid, but they went full force and hardcore. Joakim just MADE it PERFECT. He looked like he was questioning wtf in the beginning, but got into the groove and owned it!
Loved this video. Nanowar of Steel is like the Weird Al of metal. Just wish there was a goal in that game so maybe we could have heard Joakim do an Andres Cantor impersonation (he was the announcer for Univision that did Goooooooooooooollllllllll!!! after every score)
Well if you want to see how they parody another famous band, you can go for "Heavy Metal Kibbles". If you want to admire the amount of references they can do in one song, "The Ironmonger (Copier of the Seven Keys)" is amazing. Nanowar of Steel is always great 😅.
The part about the "Cynical penalty lottery" is a wink about a song with the same name (la cinica lotteria dei rigori) by Elio e le storie tese that... Is about the 1994 pasadena penalties!
hah awesome! i was searching for some "Pasadena 1994" reactions and i land here, on a channel called "Tauri", as a Stargate SG1 geek that makes me happy :D have my sub fellow human :D
You can choose next Nanowar Of Steel video between their music styles: Valhalleluja = Gospel + Hammerfall (You already did it) Call of Chtulu = Rammstein style Heavy Metal Kibbles = Motorhead/Judas Priest Barbie Milf Princess of the Twilight = Rhapsody of Fire Iron Morger = Manowar Norwegian Reggaeton = Reggaeton + Gigatron (Spanish parody band) Uranus = Hard Rock + Michael Starr (Steel Panther) Winterstorm in the Night = Symphonic Metal + Madeleine Liljestam (Eleine) And Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle = Metal ballad style We will wait your choice! You won't regret any of these :D
May I suggest that you react to this years German contender for the ESC, Lord of the Lost with the song Blood & Glitter? If you are familiar with what Germany has sent to the comeptition, be preoared to get your socks blown off.
Def check out the other singles from The Dislike to False Metal album. Winterstorm in the Night and Discometal. bother are completely diffrent sound again. To say NanowaR of Steel have a sound is both a correct and incorrect statment.
to the Nanowar of Steel, I advise you: Vegan Velociraptor Barbie milf princess of the twilight disco metal norvegian reggaeton Winterstorm in the night Heavy metal kibbles Uranus the call of cthulhu and la polenta taragnarock ;)
"Italians treat war like football, and football like war" - Winston Churchill
And this is done with love, and a wink.
Tauri: "Nanowar don't take themselves too seriously."
Me: "Understatement of the year!" 🍺😁
This year is their 20th anniversary of not taking themselves seriously. :D
@@angiewegenerdjmetalamazon4468 they said in an interview that this was their serious song 😂
Nanowar's motto is "we take comedy seriously" 😆
This song is basically Sabaton's "The Last Stand" moved from Defending the Vatican to A Football Field. It is also very well done.
"Italians lose wars as if they were football matches, and football matches as if they were wars". - winston churchill -

Fun fact: Sweden was actually third after Brazil and Italy.
I remember that the they came home as celebrated heroes. 😃🇸🇪 I actually watched that bronze medal match on a small tv at a pub in our town. At the same time it was a town festival, so when Sweden won the match, people went crazy, running out on the streets, jumping into the fountains..
Ahhh, so it *was* personal for Joakim😏
Just a note: a famous italian sport juornalist Washington Maurizio Mosca but they changed in kyev ...😂😂😂
Followed by Bulgaria in 4th place 🇧🇬 Crazy world cup ⚽️
And Bulgaria was fourth. Stoichkov was second for a player of fifa after Romario
As a Brazilian, this was so nostalgic and fun. Norwegian Reggaeton and Uranus next!

It’s like have many bowls of “ingredients” aka genres + parodies. The. They just slap something together and it works. They are true musical chefs
Nanowar sounds like how they need to sound for each song. They always sound great. I'd say do Uranus or And Then I Noticed that She Was a Gargoyle.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAURI!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

A soccer match in a war theme... I loved it ❤️

I love Nanowar's band parodies the best out of all of their songs. This and the alestorm parodies are some of my favorites.
Sabaton greatest hits in one song
I can recommend "La Polenta Taragnarock" and "Uranus" :) They also made a great song about Barbie, but that one is a bit on the NSFW side.
More Nanowar of Steel? Check out their song Disco Metal!
Happy B-day Tauri 😘🥳🎊🎉🎂🍰☕️🍷🍸🍹🥂🍺🍻

Just as so you know, every metalsinger north of Gävle in Sweden sounds like Joakim... so yeah, a lot of people could have pulled it off. ;-)
Well i mean a lot of metalsingers north of Gävle but Jens Kidman doesnt do that one and that is the big important one.
@@veriahl A lot of good metalbands and metal singers all over the country (except from Gothenburg) ;-)
A must-react are: Uranus, Norwegian raggaeton, and then I notice that she was a goargoyle and polenta taragnarok
If you don’t listen to the lyrics it’s a Sabaton song. If you listen to the lyrics, it’s a parody.
NanowaR of Steel did again
It's called the announcer's booth.

Have you seen it Tauri?
Epica put another Rivers version online with Apocalyptica
Just a yellow card! 😂 Yup, that's Nanowar for you 😂
