A woman is demanding answers from the TTC after she says a streetcar driver allegedly ignored a request to help a disabled passenger board the streetcar.
Folks, the real reason this woman was refused access is because she is known to create problems and picking fights with other people. This is why the driver did the right thing and prevented someone from creating problems inside.
I love how they didnt mention the fact the the passenger refused to get onto the ttc because she demanded the driver to be white... and the driver was a brown gentlemen.. get all of your facts right before jumping to conclusions
Facts! What does everyone have to say now? No apology, no explanation. The general public never hears both sides of the story. Only news worth reporting is the one that tries to make employees look like inconsiderate animals. I suppose it is the operators fault tho. He should have changed the colour of his skin to appease everyone.
I had TTC buses drove past me a few times and I was standing right at the stop. As long it's a human driver there will be human errors. Time to look into driverless TTC vehicles.
It's so bad to hear that. I love Toronto and its people, and I being a foreigner who loves visiting Canada, I can say TTC personnel have always been very nice and helpful when I needed some information. But in January 2019, I was in Toronto again with my wife and we had some problems with our Presto. When I tried to contact the streetcar driver to tell him I wasn't able to pay because of some unidentified problem with my card, he barely looked at me and gave me a shrug and said, "There's nothing I can do" in a very rude manner. Fortunately some TTC guy at Union Station helped me solve the problem. Hopefully I think this seems to be a rare event.

Such a thing isn't possible with buses, but is possible with streetcars, LRT vehicles, and subway trains.
