- From April 1st to the 4th I took a trip to Cologne, Germany specifically to visit Phantasialand. This place has alot of hype surrounding it, with world-class rides, attention to detail and fantastic soundtracks... Does it actually live up to those expectations however, what are there flaws and what improvements would I make? Watch to find out!

I was lucky enough to have my 1st visit to Phantasialand on the 3rd of April this year, just 1 day after you! F.L.Y. is just something else, I was as speechless as you are after I came off it. the way you put it, saying that going to phantasialand ruins other parks is just so correct. Such an amazing park, perfect theming, and if you can afford hotel Charles Lindbergh, its Definitely worth it. Great video.

With the start of this season, we used a new software for the queue time boards. It was very troublesome in the first days. It took too long to update and sometimes did not update at all.
It is working fine now. The down times during the first weeks were due to the supply chain issue. You never know what you gonna get or when...
Now there are no more missing parts.

Great to hear you had a good time. I love that place so much. I am hoping to go again to get on fly as it was shut when I went. I haven't riden zadra but looks so good. I think the operations there can be mixed for me they were good but I think they vary, but I am glad to here that they didn't ruin your visit.

Great photos. I just went here the past weekend and had a great time. Usually not fussed about theming, but really enjoyed it. Managed to ride Taron about 16 times over two days thanks to the single rider line and a fairly quiet park.
If only it was quiet when I went, but I suppose it was opening day so 🤷♂️😂

@@rideexpedition Yeah we got really lucky. It was scheduled to rain over the weekend so I was a bit worried but it was actually dry most of the time. Almost every ride was a ten minute queue max (the exception being the 40 minutes we waited for crazy bats...). Charles Lindbergh was cool too and not too bad value for money for two days at the park, dinner and breakfast for £200pp.
Front row of Taron is the best. So much compression and air time but the back is more crazy with these lateral forces. Also i prefer sitting on the left side, it feels more rough.

I completely agree, the front row takes the cake and you feel the power of the second launch more. Such a good coaster

Through working in the tourism industry I was lucky enough to visit Phantasialand over a dozen times in the 90s. And I never was bored with it.
But I think it has been beaten as the best theme park in Germany by Europapark in Rust.
Unfortunately not been to Europa Park but I definitely need to go. I'm waiting for their new 'Voltron' coaster and then I'll probably consider it. 😂

When it comes to themes and creativity (because of the limited space) noone beats Phantasialand. Imagine what they can do with the same amount of land like EP or Efteling.
