It's a good thing there are captains like Scotty, who care about conservation and data. He knows that is a positive for all their livelihoods. Chompers is the exact opposite, disrespecting the catch, his crew and the very ocean that supports him. If captains were all like Chompers, there wouldn't even be an industry.
@@jase4270 I'm not saying he isn't a good leader or helpful to others in a pinch, but every captain would help another, it's the code. However, he is just throwing plastic into the water constantly, not caring about the ocean at all. He might get you paid, but it isn't sustainable. His attitude also sucks. Scotty is tagging fish to study, so they all know about populations and where the fish school, he respects the ocean that gives him a livelihood. In the long run, Scotty is the best captain in the fleet.
I don't know who would want to work for choppers. The big eye is too small a boat anyways. Not as safe in rough seas. Captain often puts his crew at risk.
I feel so bad for Linda and the crew of the Hannah Boden. But when even Scotty called it quits, I had a feeling Linda should've followed him. Still have faith that Linda will get her groove back as Captain. I just hope the boat owner doesn't fire her.
She blew Scotty off when he asked for help, so I really don't care for her much. Scotty helped her when she was at her lowest, and then she told him to kick rocks when he needed it. I think Scotty would have been a great partner to trade information with.
