Good effort! I like to see those type of efforts. I think TIG likes a quite smooth sinewave. What your innovation was producing was a broken square wave. Also, by alternating positive and negative DC on the leads you are significantly reducing the RMS voltage seen by the head.
I think i was runing into issues with the lill machines hot start feature also im not sure that its components liked the inturuption due to trying to make hillbilly ac output... Its not realy working all that great anymore.....
