In the fifth century, Celtic King Vortigern hoped he could escape the Saxon conquest by building a castle he chose the hillock/small mountain of Dinas Emrys (close to the village, Beddgelert (Gelert's Grave) the location of another prominent Welsh myth). Vortigern ordered a castle to be built on the hillock, however things did not go so smoothly. Day after day, when the men returned to build site, they would find that their tools would be destroyed and the walls they had built collapsed. Eventually Vortigern sought help from the arcane, sorcerers, magicians, sages. They advised him that the ground he was building on was corrupted/cursed and that a blood sacrifice of a child was needed, a child with a human mother and an otherworldly father. Vortigern ordered every man under his command to seek the child, they found one, in Caer Myrddin (Carmarthen, a castle city in North Wales), the child Myrddin Emrys was no ordinary child and turned out to be one of Albions (Britain as it was known back then) most powerful wizard, Merlin. Merlin had managed to convince Vortigern that killing him would no stop his castle from being destroyed each night and told him that he should dig into the mountain and inside he will find a lake with two dragons sleeping beneath it, a white and a red Dragon, this was the cause of his castles continued destruction. Are you saying it's not badass?
Like The Natinal animal of the Scots a Unicorn
I'm sorry but your opinion is wrong
@@falaflani4831 whether it’s badass or not is immaterial. There’s more to take into account what makes a good flag
Spoken like some who doesn't have a mythological monster on their flag
This will always remind me of when MauLer lost his shit about the Isle of Man flag.
I await the day the flag tier list video comes out.
0:30 jokes aside in the mid and to the end of the cold war albanja was ruled by a cruel dictatorship that so cruel they got the title the north korea of europe
nice dragon art, love how geometrical(cube) its head is. 11/10 cute, would pet it even tho it will char me with its fire

Imagine Cannur is your historian and explain the Japanese flag and argues with you about dragons LMAO XD
Garnt is the reason why companies simplify their logos
Garnt: Mexico has a good flag.
Connor: What is that, a bird?! Hello?! DRAGON!
Me: It's a Golden Eagle holding a snake! It's a tag team duo of bravery and wisdom!
Yeah I do agree that Mexico has a good flag with a good meaning also I didn't notice the snake until i was in a Spanish class
Garnt: this isn't a dnd campaign
Me: i wish it is
“The dragon got too much detail”
The literal seperate HD picture in the middle of the mexican flag :
Mexican flag : *sweats nervously *
Garnt: it has too much detail!
Vexillologists: you're goddamn right
OMG I just realized Garnt was doing the redo of healer laugh.
The art style is so good.
