Plot twist: She heard of all the dommy mommy memes and decided to just trash talk the whole time so Ethan can make a move on her. Only too late did she realize he actually wanted to kill her.

...Well, the Baker family are (Mostly, excluding Lucas) innocent. Margeruite, Jack, and Zoe were all the horrible victims to a bioweapon's power. A loving family infected and corrupted by Eveline's Mold and influence. They knew they were infected and were powerless to stop it. Zoe could see the fractured sanity where her mother did everything she could to stop Eveline from harming Zoe, but in the end failed.
In this scenario however; Alcina Dimitrescu and her daughters are all infected. Very well aware of their situation and could rationalize their actions. They slaughter people without mercy, Alcina desires to torture and devour you alongside her children. The line could be more powerful if the daughters were reluctant to your death. Or if their deaths weren't necessary. As if Ethan had to willingly seek them out and kill them for an advantage through the castle. But on another hand...
Alcina loves her children. Daniella, Cassandra, and Bella were Mother Miranda's experiments and Alcina took them in lovingly. When one of them is killed; Alcina cries out in sorrow of her loss. A mother's grief is felt in that moment. She doesn't see her children's wrongdoing as she raised them that way. They are above humanity, and to lose her child to a human is heartbreaking enough.
Dude, it's just a stupid mainstream game with a stupid mainstream story. It's all flash and action, but with no substance. I'm going to play it myself, but I recognize it for what it is... I wish the bar for this shit was set quite a bit higher on average, but I guess this is all that can realistically be expected...

To be fair its one of the few traditions this "resident evil" still honors. Its almost a completelt different series now.
I swrsr early resident evil games wasmore specific progress for that to happen.
Here's a fun fact: Before the boss fight, if you open the coffin where the knife is but don't pick it up yet, Lady Dimitrescu despawns from the castle. You can go back and explore an empty castle pursuit-free to get those CP achievements - aside from any small enemies you may have skipped (vampire grunts, gargoyles, etc.)

She also has a very high regeneration ability, that's why you can't hurt her in the castle, the thing is she has a special decease requires her to keep eat humans flesh and drink human blood to maintain regenerate ability, thus Miranda didn't choose her as vessel

A note in Miranda's lab says that if Alcina is poisoned, the Cadou will get out of control causing over-mutation, and since the dagger Ethan uses to stab her is infused with poison, that's what triggers her mutation.

Maggie Robertson deserves every bit of acclaim, she truly brought the voice of an absolute tyrannical villainess to a new generation of scream queens.
Yes Maggie was phenomenal. I like that she went with a transatlantic accent, too. Though Romanian would have worked nicely, too.

The real problem is that this character’s popularity transcended the rest of the villains, along with the game. Plus she has a very mysterious background. Hopefully she is explored elsewhere in other games eventually.

All the people who are shocked at her becoming a giant monster have obviously NEVER played a Resident Evil game before. She was never gonna keep her appearance as a 9+ ft tall lady. I wasn't expecting her to be the main villain, but I was really expecting her, her daughters and the entire castle, to be one of the end game areas. Instead she's the first major boss you have to kill, despite how much they hyped her up -_-
I think the order it should of gone is Moreau , Donna , Dinitrescu and heisenburg tbh. Like you should of ended up ejected into a swamp region after escaping heisenberg. It would give them a chance to make dimitrescu an enemy that stalks you outside of the castle too
