He was still in shock and like others have said, not everyone has the same reactions to situations. The first time I watched this video my heart broke in two as I watched my uncle tear up. He is a strong, suffer in silence kind of man, but he is also a very kind, caring, emotional man... and I could tell it was starting to sink in with him. His friend was shot 3 times and there are plenty of news articles about that here in Alaska and I reckon we will hear from his friend too. I understand being skeptical of news companies, but he is not a paid actor or telling any lies. He is a hero, as well as all the other people that saved countless lives with their heroic actions in this tragedy. It's easy to comment and criticize sitting back but just think for a second, what if you are wrong?
He's a retired teacher and is still active with the youth in his community and gives countless hours of his time to help others. I hate that he was put in this situation but was not surprised for a second that he sacrificed his safety to help others.
The things these all of these people went through are more horrific than any of us will probably ever know. I'm going to say prayers and stand together with the survivors and victims and their families❤️
