- I talk about the game I played at a birthday party for my son's friend.
Gunmen Wars (1998 Namco)
ガンメンウォーズ
Forgot to mention in the video that the game is all in japanese. So, I have no clue what is really going on.
Just discovered this game on vacation in Garden Grove, CA at a run down arcade called Nickel Nickel. Instantly was a huge fan of it just like you were. How crazy it was that Namco had a selfie feature in 1998!
Awesome to hear that it some are still out there. This is still one of the few games that I would love to own one day.
It's also at the Pasadena convention center in Pasadena,CA. I played the hell out of it with a friend. There was 4 of them 😲 and it was a blast. They had a convention event called "Socalretrogamingexpo" and i think they're gonna host it again next year at the convention in pasadena. I highly recommend it it's worth a visit.
I saw it there too! It brought back memories of seeing this game at an ice rink when I was a kid about 15 years ago and thinking it was the coolest thing ever.
I literally saw this game yesterday at an arcade at The Redondo Beach Pier.
Nice! I am so glad they are still out there.
Its such a gem of an arcade
I am so glad someone else out there appreciates this game as much as I do...
I wish to god I could play this game again.
It's at the pasadena convention center here in Pasadena,CA
I played it at the convention when Socalretrogamingexpo 2019 🔥👌😊
@@Abel-Alvarez is it still there??
@@Steam_rolled The convention center, yeah. The event happens during January-February, but yeah that's when they bring the arcade machines in there it's so cool.
Ive been looking for the files to this game all day, hopefully I find them soon
I wish you luck! I have never looked for them because this beast of a system was so weird with the way it was put together. I do hope if/when you are able to play it you have fun with it.
this game was hard as fuck to find on the web
I remember this game at the Rehobeth beach boardwalk. Me and my friend used to play every summer. I remember these two older kids putting a 5 and a 20 up to the camera so that the gem took pictures of Abe Lincoln and Andrew Jackson. Cracked me up
this game was made with the same hardware that Time Crisis 2 uses!! pretty cool. I know the Gun Survivor 2 Code Veronica was made by the same Namco devs that made Gunmen Wars.
Cool video buddy
I played this game during the 90s in Spain Next to Granada supermarket LOL
This was my favorite arcade game, on the citadel!
But very unremarkable, Japanese translation of a name.
I never realized it was just a translation of the Japanese title. I was so used to random words used to title arcade games that it didn't even give me pause.
I have the 2 player version. Poor thing is just sitting in my garage
+Ryan Castillo That makes me sad, but such is the way of many giant arcade games. I had the 2-player Cyber Sled for a while, but it was too big and hard to move and ended up finding a new home.
LOL, glad that you like the video.
Likely Team Deathmatch Arcade
@KalebParhamGames Yeah Namco was amazing with some of the stuff they came up with.
ニンテンドースイッチ版してほしいです。
@lvpepe38 Thank you, I need to go back with a Tri-Pod to get some better shots of it.
ive never heard of this gameeither, but it looks epic!
Not that I noticed. It is only on a 2d plane, so aiming up and down would be useless in this game. I do still love to play it even with those limitations.
@sup3rphi1 Oh it is...now I just have to find a way to let Santa know about it. I did find one for sale for around $800 but I am not ever sure that would fit through any of the doorways in the house.
コミック化してほしいです。
Too bad this arcade game was only released in Japan.
I still want to know how one wandered to a skating rink in Texas. I wonder if it's still there.
