- Despite war-monging and nationalist rhetoric, the leaders of the two countries have shown maturity in dealing with the post-Doklam crisis. Even though the Doklam standoff ended tamely, there remained distrust till a spontaneous "Namaste" did the trick. While both sides appear to be strengthening their forces (separate story by Bisbo), they are also simultaneously talking and adopting confidence building measures. Not correct Krishna. They occupy North Doklam area and are not in any sovereign area of India
Its 81 meter from Indian border, not in north doklam. They Build permanent military base with helipad sources acc to Hindu, Indian express ,ndtv, Reuter.
Still, it is on their side of the border
Bisbo Doklam plateau was never an Indian territory. Both Bhutan and China claimed it with Bhutanese Army usually patrolling it. China annexed it under India’s nose as India takes care of Bhutan’s sovereignty. That’s why ITBP crossed borders when China started the construction works. That’s why the stand off happened. Later Modi declares that both troops have back led off to their respective positions. But that was untrue and now China has built a permanent structure for an entire battalion & helicopters. Now China can easily control ‘the chicken’s neck’ in case of conflict as it’s visible from those heights.
Yes Doklam is in Bhutan not India, I don’t remember saying it’s Indian territory. China is in North Doklam

There are reports saying china extended the roads up to indian border and chinese troops now stationed all over doklam without much resistance from india and bhutan..

Bhutan may have claim the area, but china had control of the north side for a long time, china informed both India and Bhutan that it was gonna build a road in the north some 2 weeks before start of construction. India and Bhutan said nothing, hence china was very surprised when India moved troops in to stop construction. But since then, china has built year-round bunkers and moved in heavy equiptment and tanks, then it continued building, there's not much India can do at the moment, what advantages it had the first time around is now gone and any shooting match is likely to end badly for India.
