A couple years ago I could never have imagined I'd be listening to this music but thanks to your amazing Tolkien adaptations my eyes have been open to an amazing new world of music.
I dont even go to church, but since I discovered Clamavi de Profundis' Easter Specials, I find myself coming here every year and listen to their songs - a truly spiritual experience
I don't want to sound patronizing, but you should go to church. Spiritual feelings are nice, but they can't substitute the blessed sacraments. If you have problems with the church thats okay. Pray with them. We all have them in one way or another. If you have doubts thats okay too. We all have them in one way or another. But if you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour and therefore accepted that it is your duty to love Him, then do it as He said "Those who love me will keep my commandments." One of them being to honor the Day of the Lord. Have a nice Easter and may your faith rise from it's slumber, as the Risen Lord rises from the grave.
You discovered through the Holy Spirit in you. Calling you back to Church in Jesus Christ. Happy Easter! He is risen! O death where is thou sting? Christ is risen!
I understand why your religious pieces don't get as many views as your other works, but it's still a shame because you guys always do fantastic with these renditions. Great work as always! Blessed holy week and happy Easter!
Thank you, I may not be a religious man but I appreciate great music where and whenever it is from and no matter the language. Best of luck and good times to you all.
Fun fact: these were also the Laudes regiae; they were used as a coronation anthem for Charlesmagne, for all the popes until the modernist reforms in the 60s and Holy Roman Emperors
The day when what has happened is revealed for what it truly is shall be a great and glorious day. The Modernist Heresy is the most dangerous and pervasive heresy ever faced by The Church. Only the days of the Arian Heresy and St. Athanasius can compare to these dark days.
This was beautiful! Thank you. Any chance we’ll be getting Pange Lingua sometime soon? It’s my favorite chant to date, and I would love to hear it from you guys.
Dear Hearts, there is a transcendent quality about the Latin language when its sung. This is a beautiful work you have created. Thank you and Blessed Palm Sunday. All Love
Happy feast of CHRIST THE KING! Thank you for this incredible rendition. The most powerful I've ever heard. This channel is so underrated. Pax Christi.
These are the Laudes Regies, the royal praises. They are the traditional entrance song in the masses marking the beginning of the ministry of the Roman pontiffs. They have the same function as the beginning of the celebration at the beginning of councils or synods with great ecclesial participation. A choral prayer to the church of heaven to bless and accompany the people of believers and the Petrine service of the bishop of Rome, successor of Saint Peter in the Church who presides over charity in the churches of the world.
So it's based on the "Laudes Regiae" mostly? Sounds fantastic! Sung at a faster pace than usual (to what I'm used to I guess). Though it's quite a bit shorter than the original chant versions, would have liked it even more if of those was sung; they sing this in the "prayer for our fatherland" once a month on a Sunday afternoon, very powerful and uplifting! In any case, I greet you from Belgium with salutations for making this rendition! 😊👏🙏 Jesu Christe, Rex nostro in aeternum!! ✝❤🔥🩸 Have a wonderful & blessed Palm Sunday everyone!! 🌴👑
Beautiful. I just can't fathom how you guys still think Bergoglio is the Vicar of Our Lord Jesus Christ. You are in my prayers during these confusing times.
Any chance you could do an arrangement of the English lyrics to "Ach Gott vom Himmel Sieh' Darein"? (English title: "Oh Lord Look Down from Heaven Behold"). The original music to the hymn isn't really well paced. Bach did a version that opens with a great melody line (BWV 2), but it's definitely a choral piece and not suited for congregational or individual singing. It's maybe a bit of a strange request given that you're Catholic and it was written by Luther during the Reformation, but given the election coming up in November with no good choices, and the general godlessness of our culture in the present day, I think it's appropriate for all Christians in our present circumstances.
The Protestant warble: "hE's cRAzy aBoUt U" The Catholic CHANT: "CHRISTUS VINCIT! CHRISTUS REGNAT! CHRISTUS IMPERAT!" I speak as a Methodist meself - you guys do it better.
Here is our rendition of "Christus Vincit." We hope you enjoy it:). Have a blessed Holy Week and Easter everyone!
You too Clamavi De Profundis!
Thanks allot
Thank you! I was waiting for another piece to listen to in your Sacred Music playlist!
A holy and blessed Easter to you as well! This is beautiful. :)
It’s so beautiful but it also drove me crazy, lol. Went to look up the translation but there are so many variants of the song! Still wonderful.
Glory to our victorious King of kings and Lord of lords!
Have a blessed Palm Sunday, everyone!
I wish we did this instead of the Litany of the Saints in that part of the Easter vigil
Christ is risen Hallelujah!!!
He is risen indeed Halelujah!

Christus win / Christius victorious depended on context

Vincit - He conquers
Regni - He reigns
Imperat - He commands
The English is below the Latin in the video description. It is an old Latin chant. You can probably find translations online as well.
