Glad you enjoyed it, it was a very challenging day for me after being sluggish all winter and working behind a desk... summers coming and with it lots of wild camps and other adventures!
Yeah I wouldn't engage with those wild ponies. Perhaps unbuckle you're backpack so you can jettison it, if you go in a bog ? Your drone did well in that wind! Thanks for sharing, Lilu
@@AdventuresWithLilu I regularly see both down here in the south. Buzzard = large, brown with cream mid wing, with fan (rounded) tail. Red Kite, large, redish brown, with forked tail. (Although I see them occasionally I still can't tell the difference between the smaller bird of prey)
Fabulous hike Lilu, thanks for taking us with you. I love the Carneddau and have wandered there many a time, it is a magical area. Getting on a bit now but you have re-inspired me to try again. Thanks and good hiking x
Hello 👋 Lilu, sending you another greeting from Northern California. Be safe out there in those marshy bogs. Where do you get all of your energy and stamina? Take good care of yourself everyday. 😊
That was an adventure! Drum (pronounced DRIM) is the only mountain of it's size with a road all the way to the summit, up from the roman road there's a track which was built during WW2 for large trucks to drive all the way up as it was an experimental radar station testing a new system called Blue Joker. That slog up Foel Fras is brutal, I'm a local fell runner and it sure does get the thighs burning! I don't know why but they didn't build the trig point on Foel Fras on the actual summit, I've never found out what the problem was, maybe they just made a mistake but the real summit is a spike of rock about 70m SW of the trig point, looks like you had a lot of fun, I love it around there.
12:41, I knew what you had found. Climbed that Route up Drum some 12 years ago, after some research I realised what I had stumbled upon. Thankyou for service guys! Another great Adventure with Lilu ✌❤🙏🥂🇬🇧
@gregphillips.1312 yeh I dint know why I said farm machinery...no farmers uo there..I thought it might be a plane but didn't want to say before I checked...how sad... 1945...the war was about over and they crash flying back from a training exercise.... 😒
Have you ever read the book I bought a Mountain by Thomas Firbank? I found it an absolutely compelling account of life as a sheep farmer in the Carneddau region with vivid descriptions of mountain life.
Again glorious. Thank you. The first time I walked in Wales, scouting ahead of my parents, I heard a strange noise and ran back shouting "It's the devil". In fact it proved to be a small pony neighing which I had not heard before. I sometimes think the benefits of an Anglican upbringing are overrated. What do I know. Mayhap Satan roams the Welsh Hills in the guise of over friendly ponies. Personally I doubt it. Your undoubted mileage may vary. I now know you have been bedevilled by what can only have been satanically possessed sheep.
I was in pain driving the 3 hours home haha 😄 I decided not to stay over cramped in the car another night in case I seized up the next day lol... I wasn't too bad the next day...but the drive home...owww
Well done
Thank you 😊
Another fantastic adventure and video. I have been on a little adventure myself this weekend 15 miles and a wild camp on the Brecon beacons xx

Hi Lilu have you ever been to the new forest in Hampshire? It is beautiful and there are lots of wild horses and cattle
Yes, love it there too 😍
Loving these videos! I've lived in the shadow of these mountains for most of my life and have only recently discovered a love for exploring them!
Glad you like them!

Wonderful, Eagle entry and poniies!

@@AdventuresWithLilu Thanks lovely Lisa for sharing your adventures with us.
We recognised ourselves at 22:35, the red blobs on the edge!
Hahaha!!! Brilliant!! Your debut moment!!! Nice to meet you again 😃
I wonder if the bird was a Red Kite. The plane is an interesting find, the Mosquito body was made of wood so only mechanical bits would remain.
I googled and it looked like a buzzard but im no expert...it was huge and light brown from what I saw...
Wood? Really? Wow...
