I agree. I have been looking around for a car and I always fall back to Kia ceed or Fiesta. The ceed is bigger and more practical. I will be getting the Ceed in the coming months for sure unless I get a car from my dad.... which is the Ford focus 2008 or something. But the 2016 kia ceed and up will be mine otherwise.

Got to drive one today, it does feel good. The only odd thing was the delay when you tried to accelerate hard and the fact that it understeered mad on a wet section of the track at anything over 25mph.

One thing I recall about the last gen cee'd was that the rear seat cushions could be lifted up, then the seat back folded down to allow for both a flat and level boot, though only for models 2 and above as the basic one doesn't have an underfloor tray. Is this also true of the current cee'd? in fact I've noticed in a lot of car reviews that they never seem to check if the actual seat cushions can be moved, they only ever fold the seat backs down.

+chanman3388 very late.... But they can lift up allowing the back seats to go down flat.

i have the older shape Cee'd its been super reliable, i agree on the criticisms, that dated display on the dash needs to go, those steering weight profiles need to go i usually always leave it on normal, and the Kia need to address some options such as a Ceed GT estate with the 7speed dct, a 4 spec auto estate diesel too. they are missing out on potential sales.

How about the fuel consumption? Given the 1300 kilograms of this car, isn't this 1.0 engine too small? Isn't it a bit too thirsty? The official fuel consumption numbers are, usually, far from reality, therefore I would be more interested in the real consumption which you got, the distance you drove and the speed regimes. Thank you! :-)

Had SW 3 for about 8 months now. Aside from someone hitting me up the back, which was not the car's fault, had no problems at all.
    Couple of negatives & positives.
The cruise control is a bit "jumpy" in going up to & staying at set speeds, you sort of feel a very minor jolt when the car is maintaining assigned speeds, very minor.
Funny enough, in a similar vein, the aircon/ventilation system seems to go to extremes. So if you had say 20C set it will blast you with cold air once it feels it's over a set temperature &, conversely, get you hot if it feels it's too low....
On the ventilation system, you can't have combined settings so, say window demister on with a front face fan?
You have to take the key out of the ignition if you exit the car without wanting to lock it as it will ping continually if you don't.
Common in a lot of cars, if you turn it off you have a limited time to get windows up.
10000 mile service internal, my old Focus was 12500.
    On the many +'s.
Great ride, perfectly acceptable diesel engine. The 3 upwards, very well equipped, solid, highend build, look & feel. The only service I've had on the car, which was main dealer, came in below local independent garages.
    Overall, really like it! 👍

Not a fan of the styling. It's got nice elements, the swooped headlights for example. But overall its a bit of a mishmash between something modern and something from the mid 90s. Kia design needs to decide on a more cohesive theme, if they're sticking to one at all.
