the bigest problem with the bird caging or line knocks you need to soak the spool with water completely, soaking the spool makes the mono or floro lines increse in size to stop the birdcaging, also soak the line for reels with spectra . the dry spooling is usually tight , so wetting the spool saves from having a BIRDCAGING? i know this viedo is 3 yrs old but those who read the video site will see it.
I have a San Like reel which is probably made in the same place. So far so good. I have a sougayilang conventional reel which does well, but it only drops line straight down about 100 feet and reel straight up.
You guys ever try the Concord River or Walden? I know its a bit out of your way, but if you haven't you should check it out. Would be cool to see a video.
the only way I can think of to solve that problem is by taking the siding off and pulling out the bail. I've done it on some of my old reels and its just a couple screws and usually not to bad. Take off the side without the reel handle on it.

Do a review on the MEEGO 301 Lizard bait casting reel. It's a $30.00 reel with 20 ball bearings and 9.9:1 gear ratio

I've got this reel. You need to use heavy lures with cheap reels. I use 20lb braid with it.
Its just the tension its set too loose I've had one for over a year and it casts

John Groves gotcha. Ya I still haven’t bought from them. Probably cause I always heard and thought that. Plus I hate buying foreign most days haha.
