Been driving TJ's for almost 20 yrs and I genuinely thankyou for posting this vid. I love seeing what type of ingenuity other people come up with when trying to make a tiny interior do very big things. Good luck with your adventures!😍 I think I'm your 900th sub🤷
20 years of TJ !! Nice 👍 thank you for your comments. Yeah, I had no choice but being super crafty when building my overland TJ. Space is definitely a premium as you know 😉 I’m past due for a walkaround ! Now I’m building on the outside to free up space inside (for other things 😄) and carrying new gear. Stay tuned ! Yes 900 😎 100 more and I can start making $5/month on YT 😂
Major Weakness thank you 😊 hahaha , I knew someone would ask 😂😂 It’s definitely worth a video ... will be a funny one watching me trying to squeeze in the jeep. I’ll definitely make that video soon 😊👍🏻 thank you for the suggestion !! Cheers 😎
A TJ fan 😎🤘 we are a species facing extinction 😉 😂 Thank you ! This was Probably my biggest interior project in the jeep along with my storage unit. I have some big upgrades coming up ! Stay tuned 😎
rrpyro45 Thank you 🙂🙂 it’s been a process to finish this setup with few versions in between but this one works great (for what I do). Yeah, not sure why I didn’t make that video before .... I still need to do my walk around videos (in and out) ... so many hidden things in this Jeep. Hopefully soon 😎 Thank you for watching and for the comments 👍🏻👍🏻
@@SuperwheelieOverland I have just enough room to sleep on my side, so it's not too bad. But, I do worry that if I'm in an accident the board could seriously injure me so I'm thinking of trying to find a way to split it in half :-)
you know why they call those mattresses "memory foam"? because the day after you have aches and pains and it reminds you about when you slept on the foam mattress.
Lol. I actually love this mattress setup; probably because I don’t use ONLY memory foam: the layer of regular foam underneath acts as spring. Better than my 20 year old mattress at home 😁 When it’s cold though, memory foam becomes super hard and it needs time to soften using (stealing) my body heat 😖 I need a winter mattress too 😬
Thank you 😊 unfortunately I cannot access my clothes from inside and I would have to open the door. But I have learned to get everything I need ready before I sleep and put in on the driver seat (mostly stuff for the night in case I get really cold). 95% of the time though, I change my clothes outside anyway 😬
mark sklenar Thanks Mark 😊 I kinda remember it was quite cold but noise was soooooo annoying!! And not very comfortable. Yeah, foam rocks !!! You should try dual type (foam and memory foam) 🤓🤓
Lol. Agreed! But 95% of the time the bed platform is installed. And yes, lot of people tell me there’s no way they’d sleep in such a setup 😂 it’s definitely cramped in there but awesome when it’s cold : less volume to heat up (body heat that is 😬)

Nice would love to see the rest of your overland set up.
Thank you. I am soooo due for a walkaround (exterior and interior) … hopefully soon 🤞
Deep sleep thats made for the jeep is the best bed ever lol
Lol. It is a better bed than my house bed 😆
That's cool! I was hoping you would film you crawling in to the space!

Great seeing you back at it
Steve Ogden thank you 😊 I got busy (and lazy 😬) after my last trip ... and the weather was ... ok, ok, I’ll stop with excuses 😂😂
I watched Joel's video and came on over. Nice to meet you.
wyattoneable Nice to meet you 🙂 thanks for stopping by 😉
Nice video. Cool bed set up.
Gary I thanks. And it’s comfortable too 😎💤💤
Such a sick set up. Was literally watching your videos the other day wondering why you hadn’t posted a video of the platform yet. Thanks for sharing.

Love seeing another 2 door Jeep out there!!
We’re preserving the species so that it doesn’t go extinct 😄😊😎
Nice job! I did something similar sliding a board over the seats. At 6'3, I just barely fit, but with a nice camping pad it has worked well.
Thanks 😊 Do you have enough head room ?? Or you fold seats down ? Anyway, seems like it’s working for you. Much simpler than my setup for sure 😂

Stephen Hill that sounds like a good plan to me 😳😳😂😂
Woo. That's cool, new friend here. Best wishes for you and always full supported. Thanks !!!!!!!!!!
Thank you :-)
Nice! I didn't know that about memory foam. Nice tip! Although here in AZ not much of an issue lol.
Awesome video mate, great work
CHEAP JEEPER Thank you 😊 It does the job for what I do 😎
Nice video 👍
Henrique Brandalise obrigado 😉 time to setup your truck 😊

Really great setup!! Can you access your clothing area from inside? Or do you have to open the door?

Nice work, glad to see how it was done. Was the air mattress cold, as well? I use foam myself since it insulates better

how long is the bed?
If I remember correctly: 6ft long and 19” wide. And mattresses thickness: 4” foam + 2” memory foam
Sure is a lot of work for a weekend camping trip. This is not for anyone with even a hint of claustrophobia. Nice job though.
