Very informative and useful information. You answered many of my questions I had. Just learning to sew/quilt and your tutorial has helped me a lot. Thank you! Looking forward to learning more from you.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few months xD
Sherrill, I have a question, if I have low loft batting, can I double it? That way, I would have my backing fabric, 2 layers of batting and my quilt top. What are your thoughts? I do thank you in advance.
Hi Sharon. I will be a much warmer blanket. Make sure you lengthen your stitch to 3.0 or 3.5 so you can easily stitch through all the layers of fabric. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Nancy Zieman used a grapefruit spoon because the grooves in the spoon are perfect for holding the sharp end of the pin still while you close it. I hope it helps.
I will always remember the last time I lay the quilt out on the floor. Never again. I just can't do it. I now have a big table. The last time I waxed my floor I had to roll to move. I have retired from those activities.

I double the low loft batting all the time. Just be sure you quilt close enough so it doesn’t clump in spots.
That was very good info. However i love the quilt you are using. Do you have a tutorial on that pattern?
Nancy Zieman used a grapefruit spoon because the grooves in the spoon are perfect for holding the sharp end of the pin still while you close it. I hope it helps.
If you don't use the pins how do you baste your quilts?
Hi Eileen. As you are hand basting remove the pins. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

It is so much easier are a large table. I now take my big quilts to a long arm quilter. This saves my back. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
