    Ballet for orchestra.
    Commissioned by the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo.
    Ballet suggest by Agnes de Mille.
    Première: October 16, 1942 in New York's Metropolitan Opera House.
    The orchestral suite consists of four dance episodes from the ballet:
    1. Buckaroo Holiday
    2. Corral Nocturne
    3. Saturday Night Waltz
    4. Hoe-Down
    Première: suite performed by Arthur Fiedler conducting the Boston Pops Orchestra, May 28, 1943.
    Also, no. 1-4 is arranged for piano solo; no. 4 is arranged for string orchestra; no. 4 is arranged for violin and piano; and no. 3 and 4 are arranged for two pianos by Arthur Gold and Robert Fizdale.
    The following [incomplete] video of the production is from the 1972-3 season of the American Ballet Theatre, which premiered the ballet's revival on Sunday, 28 January 1973. The cast included Christine Sarry (Cowgirl), Terry Orr (Champion Roper), and Marcos Paredes (Head Wrangler).
    Choreographed by Agnes de Mille, music composed by Aaron Copland, and setting adapted from Oliver Smith's original design.
