really nice stuff! Have you ever heard the WMD Kraken? It's a snare drum for eurorack. It's indistinguishable from. real snare drum, and it is all digital synthesis. In machine code. Im looking around online for papers on modeling snares like that. Not finding much.
Ad hoc methods with subtractive synthesis are very powerful, and generally easier to work with than proper physical models you'll find in papers (although those are cool too).
