Oh my goodness I sooooo need this machine!! I make purses too and cutting out the pattern is not my favorite thing to do! lol It will definitely be on my list of needed equipment. Thank you for this tutorial! Oh and I’ve also added an industrial machine too! 😂
Thank you for the scan n cut video on cutting out vinyl, I just got mine in the mail today!😁 I’m going to make the purse pal tomorrow. On a side note, not sure if you already know this being that you made the video a year ago ,on your Fabricator if you pull out your posi pin turn the wheel toward you a little and put the pin back in it will stop the knocking sound.
Hi. I made my first PPal on a domestic with Cork and WPC. Used a 14 Microtex needle. Worked fine. My machine: Janome 6500. Good luck. Try some “test strips” to see how much your machine can handle.
I really enjoyed your video, your very clever. I have a scan n cut but i only use for card/paper crafts etc but its nice to know other ways of using the machine. I gather thats a pattern from somewhere? I personally wouldn’t like my cards on show but each to their own.
Thanks for this tutorial, Barb. It looks great. Can’t decide if my feature fabric should be the card slots or the zipper side. I am going to make one soon and glad to see your results without the pulling threads through on the card slots.
I so much enjoy watching your videos! I’ve been interested in a machine to use SVG files on, but I am clueless. If I buy the Brother ScanNCut SDX125e+mats+blades,, do I need to purchase software also? Thanks for any help!
Thank you so much for the tutorial. One question, the basting spray doesn’t cause issues on your mat? I love that you had to pick out a bit. That’s definitely me!
Thank you for the tutorial. This has convinced me to purchase one. What model do you have and can I transfer an SVG file from my phone to the machine? Thank you.
Love the idea on the scan n cut. I have the same one. What mat did you use? It looks black on the video. I have a hard time getting things to stick really well especially waterproof canvas. Love watching your videos!
Thank you for the tutorial! I have only tried to cut the vinyl once on my scan and cut and it cut all the way through the mat!! 😭 what cut settings do you use?
Barbie what blade do you use? I think I heard Auto Blade but not sure. I have had my Scan n cut SDX330D for a yr and a half and havent use it yet! got the SVG set for the purse pal and dont know what to do!! It awesome that you are doing this one as it is my first project for my cutting machine!
I have the auto blade in there... that's why on the video you see it sensing the depth. There is also a fantastic fb group for all things scan n cut. - facebook.com/groups/SNCwJennifer

Thank you so much for the tutorial with the Scan~N~ Cut!❤ Love your vinyl color choice too! Have a blessed day 😊
Thank you! You too!
Wonder if it will cut light weight leather 🤔
it can, but you have to use transfer paper and tape it good, really depends on the leather and if it's stretchy!

It makes all the difference.
Do the patterns come with the files for scan n cut. This is all totally new to me.
Many do, but not all
I can't decide which would be better, The Cricut or the scan n cut.
I have the scan n cut and love it. don't know anything about the circuit

You'll love it! The workspace is free to download or use on line. more functionality if you download it though
Ordered!
Thank you so much for the tutorial. One question, the basting spray doesn’t cause issues on your mat? I love that you had to pick out a bit. That’s definitely me!

How do you make your tags please.
Hi, I get them from www.heartwoodandhide.com/
Thank you for the tutorial. This has convinced me to purchase one. What model do you have and can I transfer an SVG file from my phone to the machine? Thank you.
Hi, you're welcome! This is the one I have... Brother ScanNCut SDX125E I don't know if you can transfer from your phone or not
Did you cut that out using an SVG file?
Yes, with the files that come with the pattern!
Thank you for the video! I need to use my Scan and Cut more. Do you clean the blade after each use?
Thank you... no I haven't, just every so often!
How did you get your svg to your machine?
I sent it from my computer to the machine via wifi. There is also an option to put it on a thumb drive and connect that to the scan n cut.
Thank you 😊 💓

Thank you so much!!! Yes, I so agree, that's why I almost always use the basting spray.

Where do I get something like that landscape fabric in small quantities
I believe that amazon sells it
Is your handpress only to be used on plastic snaps?
Hi, the handpress i have is for kamsnaps plastic snaps, I've never tried it on anything else, it may work though!
How do you remove the basting spray from your materials?
I actually just leave it on as it's all on the wrong side...
I made one out of cork fabric
Wonderful!!!
