- The plaintiff used to be close friends with the defendant. She says she loaned the defendant money via a wire transfer from someone else, but there was a problem with her account later, so she’s suing for fraud. The defendant is countersuing for emotional distress.

She almost lost the case by not being able to articulate what was the reason the bank gave for the transaction being fraudulent. Once the defendant started talking, it became clear the plaintiff left out pertinent information.

Most banks wouldn't let u withdraw the cheque until 48 hrs. If you pull out any money and give it to anyone it will be your money you'll be losing twice once they find out the cheque is fraudulent.
