Steaming Smaller Amounts of Milk with the Breville / Sage Bambino Plus.

- I've had quite a few questions via comments, and also via email, about steaming smaller volumes of milk with the Sage or Breville (depending on whether you're within Europe or not) Bambino plus, so I thought I'd do this video to try to find out how small a milk volume it's possible to steam, both with the auto steam feature, and steaming manually.
This isn't only applicable to the Bambino Plus, the section (3:36)
where I try this with manual steaming is relevant to all espresso machines.
I hope you find this helpful - and don't forget, this video - as with many of my videos, has come from questions in the comments. So if you have any questions, just ask in the comments, I'll do my best to answer, and it may lead to a future video.
By the way, if you're in the UK or Europe (including Ireland, Germany, France and most other countries in mainland Europe) see: coffeeblog.co....

Sage should pay Kev for promoting Bambino Plus, this is the best channel that covers extensively on this product. 😄😄
@UCm_S1mWJTsrNgnqIoatFZLg Thanks Callum, very nice of you :-)
@@Coffee_Kev I’ll echo that and you should put all your Bambino videos (except the first one which you’ve fully updated) into a separate playlist.
The Hoffee jumper is a thing of wondrous beauty 😍😂
Haha, the Hoffee jumper, it certainly is :-)
Glad I found this video, I found that I only get good texture when I use 8oz. Of milk or more which is way too much
I have a Gaggia Brera. It steams very powerfully, and needs about 8 oz in the pitcher. Less than that, and the milk gets too hot before the froth and volume develop. I make mostly flat whites and cappucinos. We just keep a jug in the fridge to pour the leftover steamed milk into. We use it for cooking, poured over cereal, etc, so we truly never waste milk!
Thanks for your excellent reviews, Kev!
Another great video, I recently bought the Bambino Plus and the Sage Grinder Pro based on your channel. Many thanks
Thanks Gabriel :-)
A useful video, thanks! Like the jumper too 🎅
Cheers Boss :-)
Boss?😄
Thanks for this Kev. Currently enjoying your zesty Ethiopian coffee in chilly North Lancashire!
Cheers Maurice :-). Great to hear you're enjoying the coffee :-).
Good tip with the small jug. Thanks
No problem :-) 👍
Nice jumper looks just like mine! 😜
Hi, which setting do you have the temp and foam buttons at when you do the manual steaming of 60 ml?
Are u using whole milk if you can tolerate it use whole milk smaller amounts. The higher fat will bond better
Hi Dirk, yeah whole milk, I should have made that clear in the video. Cheers.
If you put a quantity of ball bearings in the jug before you add the milk, this solves it.......
Hi Ross. Genius! I suppose its a similar solution to using a smaller jug, as it'll reduce the capacity. Are you using the auto steam feature, and don't you find that it messes with the machines ability to properly sense the temp of the milk? Cheers.
