I’ve been looking forward to this so much! I actually was a single foster parent. I was so nervous and if was scary for both of us at first, but she became one of my best friends. 😊

EliannaTheUnicorn we are still in touch, but she has gone home to her family. It was a very interesting process, and amazing to watch the family heal and grow together. Not every child is so lucky, but she is doing fantastic and is in High School now 🙂
That is so beautiful!! My husband and I have been thinking about getting into fostering cause we can't have kids and adopting is just too expensive.
Brittany Olson if you feel the tug on your heart then you should definitely explore it! There are some extremely challenging moments, but overall it’s very rewarding and you will learn more about yourself. I loved the books ‘adopting/parenting the hurt child’, they are hard to read, but they help you to understand the extremes. I also had a therapist for myself who specialized in foster children, she helped me contemplate my parenting decisions, which gave me confidence 🙂

Everyone likes black nowadays if you really think about it. I’m not trying to say it’s not okay to like black but I would just pick another color besides black.
I still love black and wore it all the time as a teenager, when all the others didn’t. My mum decided to make me some clothes that weren’t black, because she said that I should have a change, the wine colour she chose was ok.

This is still my favourite ASMR video on the platform. I first watched it when me and my family were in a rough spot, and being spoken to like a scared child and being reminded that I’m safe and loved felt very good. I’m doing a lot better now, but this video is still a whole other level of comforting and I come back to it when I feel down. Thank you Aleece, for a younger, scared me.
