You know whats funny for those of you who got Front Mission DS or 1 you should all know what this city is right (I can't say cause it will spoil it for those who have not reached this point yet) that part of the story is amazingly done, Can't wait to for this one to show up Stateside ( i Hope they don't do what they did with the Dragon Quest series )
This is a 4 months late reply, you probably don't even care annymore, but for the sake of explanation, you should know that the very first FM on the SNES had flame trowers, so its not an addition to FM5, its getting an old "tradition" back from the very first one. If you never played the first one, check Front Mission DS, (for the Nintendo DS obviously), its a pixel perfect remake of the first game.
I don't like the fact that people are automatically saying Front Mission 4 sucks because they think Front Mission 5 is better..... First of all, they are 2 different games. And secondly, Front Mission 4 was sweet in its own right.

@ s3kshun08 well these guys have also made a shooter as well too, that was back in the SNES days. You might remember it if you really are a mech fan, game called Cybernator. It's not like it's their first rodeo to make a shooter game, and Cybernator was fucking awesome. Granted it wasnt Square or Enix who did the game, but NCS teamed with Square at the time to create one of the best mech RPG series ever! (except for FM4, that was complete poo)
Don't give up hope on this one guys They never said this game is japanesse only, my guess is squareEnix will send this over her stateside soon you'l know it will never leave japan when the Ps2 official dies (Only X-box and Gamecube are deaded)

I think it would be neat if the game itself was translated, but they kept the cinematics in Japanese and had English subtitles.

i admit this looks an amazing game but i dont know if i can get it in english but for me front mission 3 has gotta be the best game!
ps3 have a front mission called front mission evolved. though it is completely different from the tactical RPG we played.
