I did 200 on hardtail mtb and enjoyed pretty much all of it. Before the first feedstop was peak of mud and rain and the second feedstop was the coldest, after that it was nice. We even raced with a couple of folks in last 10km, was a lot of fun.

Hey great sharing the weekend with you Katie. As for the guy with all the punctures - I think he was doomed from the start - on the Friday night he had his bike leant up against the registration marquee - wind must have caught it - caught it on camera falling to the ground. I picked it up of course.

I was going to do this until I saw the weather forecast and bailed. Thanks for capturing the "spirit" of the day. It looked as grim on your vlog as I'd anticipated.

If the weather had stayed miserable I was for bailing at 130 but as it cleared I opted for the 200, last 40 miles were a slog but glad I got it ticked off. Felt the food stations were a bit disorganised this year compared to the 130 I did last year. Good Video. 👌

I just returned from a week in Florida. 60F at 9:00 AM; 80F at 2:00 PM. Blue skies unlike Dirty Reiver. No wind. Abundant wild flowers on the side of many quiet country roads. So pleasant. From your previous video - the gravel in the New Forest looks the same as the Great Alleghany Passage (Pittsburgh, PA, to Cumberland, MD) and the C&O Canal Towpath (Cumberland to Washington, D.C.) A total of about 350 miles. We must ride it together. It would be the highlight of my cycling life. Unfortunately, I will be riding the Finger Lakes in NY on June 3 and not at Unbound. But if you have the chance to visit the east coast, please get in touch.
