Kate Bush is very famous and a hugely creative artist. I bought this single when it came out, when I was at school. Wuthering Heights is one of her most famous songs, and you need to hear it! (The lyrics are based on a very famous 18th century novel of the same name). Rubberband Girl is another favourite of mine.
The way I look at Kate Bush and her art is that she is, perhaps, the clearest example of a true Genius. And I say this as someone looking in from the outside, I am more of a hard rock, blues, and singer-songwriter guy. So let me explain. Kate is the steward of her own destiny, she writes and performs her own songs, she produces her own records. She designs and directs her own music videos and does all of this to such a high standard that it transcends all real and imaginary borders. I can't think of any male (or other female) artist that has such a mastery of her own world and art, and projects such a unique vision to us. She also apparently had this quality from a very young age (this is typical of extraordinary talent).
