Plitvice Lakes National Park (Croatian: Nacionalni park Plitvička jezera, colloquial Plitvice, pronounced [plîtʋitse]) is one of the oldest national parks in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register.
The national park was founded in 1949 and is situated in the mountainous karst area of central Croatia, at the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The important north-south road connection, which passes through the national park area, connects the Croatian inland with the Adriatic coastal region.
The protected area extends over 296.85 square kilometres (73,350 acres). About 90% of this area is part of Lika-Senj County, while the remaining 10% is part of Karlovac County.
Each year, more than 1 million visitors are recorded. Entrance is subject to variable charges, up to 180 kuna or around €24 per adult in peak season.

I just went there a year ago on my summer vacations. Didn't really want to go because we had to drive an hour or two from our hotel and I hated long walks and trips in general. But oh boy was it worth it, took a lot of amazing pictures and had breathtaking views. An experience I'll never forget. Makes me miss summer.

Visited the lakes a few years ago. Was way better than this (or any) video could ever be. Springtime was terrific...less crowds and plenty of water due to mountain snow melt. When the world eventually re-opens, make the trip. It's great.

In the happy times of the 1970s and 1980s, this was a paradise for tourists and locals alike. Guests came for multi-day vacations and stayed for up to 10 days. Tickets were cheap and you could buy a ticket for a long period of time. The Park area was full of restaurants and night bars with live music. The restaurants served local food that the hotels and restaurants procured from the surrounding farms. The contents of the Park that guests could see were 4 times larger than today. The length of the hiking trails was tens of kilometers. On the largest lake, Kozjak, swimming was very popular. Guests were driven around the lake in horse-drawn carriages. Women from local farms sold cakes, cheese and sandwiches with homemade food at places arranged along the paths and lakes. At Park Entrance One, there was a large Olympic swimming pool, a disco club and national restaurants, many cultural events, marathons, music performances, etc. were held. Then came the time of business and the Park was turned into an industry. The contents you can see are reduced to a minimum. Canyons, caves, the sources of the mountain rivers are closed to tourists, all the restaurants have been demolished and taken away, there is no live music anymore, women from the farms are not allowed to sell cakes and homemade food, in the hotels they serve food that has been brought frozen from faraway countries, swimming is strictly prohibited, and guests can only buy a ticket for one or two days. When you enter the Park, a tourist bus is waiting for you right there near the entrance, which takes you through 50% of the park, you walk a little bit along the sand path, about two kilometers, and a boat is waiting for you that will transport you to the other shore, in 5 hours you will go through the entire Park and take pictures pictures for social media to brag that you were in that gem of nature and you walk out and the next group enters. After that you think you have seen Plitvice Lakes National Park. You are not. It takes much more than one day.

@@jimw.4161 We just did Plitvice Lakes yesterday, and I cannot wait to try Krka when we get going today. The beauty of this place is enhanced with a hat and polarized sunglasses, but cannot truly be captured with a camera of date. That is okay, because it is really about mind and spirit anyways. Take the best with you and leave the rest.

Hello Ron, this video is really exceptionally beautiful. I would like to kindly ask you a question: About an hour's drive from the Plitvice Lakes, I run an apartment house with holiday apartments. On my website I offer the guests various excursion destinations, including the Plitvice National Park. So I would like to kindly ask you: Is it possible to embed this video on my website? Of course with information from the video manufacturer source ...
Thank you for your reliable answer ...

Oh, and by the way, since you're a professional turist (so to say), a nice thing to do is to record natural sounds of the place (like water falling or birds singing - yeah, you can skip people chatting all the way)
Then you make another layer above the music to add some interest over specific scenes.
You may add some "wow" and laughters or "reaction" sounds altogether.
It'll make your videos much more professional adding this new layer of "auditory sensory immersion" or whatever
