I feel ya man, why does everyone else get to be true to their comic counterparts, but eddie gets left out. It's worse when insomniac fanboys were acting like eddie didn't matter.
@shaunavant532 The Suit being the reason for symbiote invasion is pretty out of character. In Web of Shadows, it didn't look like Venom did it wilingly and they sacrifised themselfs for greater good. Insomniac's Venom lacks the sense of humor, redemtion, Suit's story was pretty lackluster too. Harry's also not the best.
Having Harry as Venom feels like a tie in to a cartoon that came in over 10 years too late. It should ve been Eddie, the only reason Harry gets the symbiote is cause they are too scared to properly adapt his drug addiction arc.
The thing is. Most Spider-man media has too much going on at once. They wanna cram in everything they love in a short amount of time. I can see Edward being a main character in the next game being Peter's new friend turned enemy. Dude can be Peter's Adult friend. Someone he doesn't have to mentor or have a bunch of expectations from. I like the idea of instead of One hero 3 main villains like how the movies and games usually go, it's 3 heroes and 3 personalized villains like how Insomniac 2 was.
Harry was Venom in the Ultimate Universe, and in the animated show for Altimate Spiderman. In both he wasn't a willing host for Venom, more so Venom was a parasite that was just using Harry. That's the main difference between when Harry is Venom vs when Eddie is Venom but the game made him just Eddie's Venom. This is just flat out wrong, not trying to be rude or anything but Eddie was 100% the venom in the ultimate universe the ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and the actual ultimate Spider-Man in the ultimate universe are not even close to being the same thing, I completely agree with your take about not enjoying this version of venom btw just trying to clear up confusion on this because I’m a die hard comic ultimate Spider-Man fan
@spowden Ya I had to double check. Eddie was Venom in the Ultimate Spiderman comic. I misremembered it as Harry because I usually don't remember Eddie as Peter's High School best friend. In the Ultimate Spiderman animated show though Harry was Venom.
I have a theory that venom is still actually alive and since no one really killed it with fire or sound or if it’s host died which are literally the only ways it could die, it means it either bonded with someone else or turn it self into little pieces that humans can’t see so Peter and miles couldn’t see him. Since Carnage is coming to the game I’m also theorizing that venom will team up with Spider-Man to beat carnage like in one of the other games and of course the host will be Eddie and that’s where we see Peter actually sticking with a new job called ,” The Daily Bugle”
I think it worked very well for this game since we know that peter actually knows harry in this universe and that he hasnt seen him in like 2 year and we know eddie exjts but not if peter actually was freinds but i do think eddie will be jn the venom game since itd be kinda dumb to have harry better straight away

I just don’t understand why we couldn’t get any action figures like we got a few Peter action figures in miles but it be real hair who would want an action figure of rhino I mean take a good look at these character, designs and tell me you do not want these as an action. All we have are like regular designs from the cartoonlike the old old cartoon.
Harry Osborn being venom was the worst choice, and if I'm being honest. I really really hate his version of Venom, because I'd rather him being a terrifying personal threat to Spider-Man than be a 'I wanna destroy the world' type guy.
