    What you use to make feeds for fermentation?

    • @ChickensForChicks

      Whatever feed you are using. If you are using pellets you want to learn how much they will expand when you add water

    How long can I keep the feed after the 3 days of fermentation? Does it go bad since it’s wet?

      I don't add sugar, only water and some spices to help with their health.

    Do you use yeast or you just mix the feed with water and cover?

    • @ChickensForChicks
      @ChickensForChicks  4 месяца назад +1

      Just cover with water and cover loosely with a lid

    Why you fermenting?

    • @ChickensForChicks
      @ChickensForChicks  5 месяцев назад +1

      Because it almost doubles my egg production. The birds are healthy, and it lowers my feed bill.

      @@ChickensForChicks thanks for your quick reply. If you soak the feed for 10, 20 minutes cant you get the same benefits?

    • @ChickensForChicks
      @ChickensForChicks  5 месяцев назад

      @Primerose172 No, you need the 3 days for the fermentation to process the feed. You can just wet the feed. They love that, but you lose out on the major benefits

    • @ChickensForChicks
      @ChickensForChicks  5 месяцев назад

      @@Primerose172 No you don't. The process of fermentation breaks down the feed and makes more of the nutrients available to the chickens
