I’m proud of you girl, the other day I was telling my wife about you and how hard you work this intensive labour job with passion to support your kids I was telling her about the positive impact we see in you and take it as an example.
Ideally, the formulation of fabric detergents that possess anti-resoiling properties should not feature the very common alcohols and glycols seen in regular detergents. But they are still used in the above prdt’s formulation. On anti-resoiling detergents, the type of surfactant (esp anionic surfactant) and its HLB value (10.5-15) would also reduce any tendencies to “resoil”. Even though a combo of amphoteric and anionic surfactants is the backbone of such a product, it usually uses a fluorine-derived agent as the “anti resoiling” ingredient which is a great thing. This product is a great product as I have tested it extensively (I am a raw materials supplier to the detailing industry). However, no surfactants can easily remove all stains. Hence, it would be great if you can add 2 tbsp of Hydrogen Peroxide into that pump spray bottle of solution….and that will elevate its effectiveness to a whole new level….and that front passenger floor should look almost brand new.
I use Pol star & Green star. I detailed a very solid fabric seats. And headliner. Cleaned carpet. It was a smokers car too. I used Green Star on headliner and seats. I used P&S carpet bomer on carpet. I extracted about 4 lg cups of coffee out of carpet. I used Pol star on all plastic and door panels, dash.
Awesome work and great video. One small thing I'd recommend is trying out the P&S carpet bomber for upholstery. I used it on my mom's car who my sister used to had it and it's removed stains that the car had for freaking 11 years.... With a dilution of 1:5 it might be cheaper than the Polstar which I use for the plastics. Another thing I recommend is always bringing the window down slightly so you can clean off just the top of it. Great work in this transformation.
I've purchased the seat belt brush from your link. I also recommend to pull the seat belt all the way out, clamp it so it doesn't retract, and soak it in a bucket with cleaner and oxyclean for an hour or so. I did this to some extremely dirty ones and I swear by it now. Great video as always 👍
Polstar is my go to interior cleaner. I don't typically use it on seats and carpets because I use an encap product. I love it on plastics and leather. It's also good for headliners.
Great job. Mix 1 ounce of greenstar in your pump sprayer with pol star. In your extractor, if you can, add a bit of pol star and GS. You will be amazed!
Aww Chelsea, I cud NEVER leave a car that disgusting. I would have purchased any upolstery cleaner to get the MOST feces off & TELL u I did so to warn u. And ppl who smoke? 🙄 U ARE a trooper.😉 Great job as usual! 👍
That's what I was thinking. At least make the attempt to get the most of the dookie off before handing it off to someone to clean for you. I hope Chelsea upped the price on this alone.
Car looks great.. I was skeptical about green star for the same reasons you mentioned with apc on plastics. Placed my order last night for GS and Po, Fu and Mwp. Great video.
Came out great Chelsea , haven’t tried the Kochchemie Polstar or Greenstar yet. Only have a couple of their products and the Gentle snow foam. They seem to be great products overall though.
I've been using green Star in the UK for a few years now, especially as it only costs me about five pounds. Brilliant cleaner and universal as it says. I've used it on carpets and also as a prewash solution for the exterior. Great product, glad you like it too.
As always you do a very thorough job, I hope your customers appreciate it to the fullest. Thank you for another great video :) I have just began to use KC Polstar, and so far I like it a lot. Use it at a 1:9 ratio for interior. Glad to hear you too mean it leaves the fabric soft without being strange or stiff to the touch. Did just buy a bottle of KC Mehrzweckreiniger (Mzr). I guess it could do a good job on smokers dirty car interior, especially on the worst stains. Stronger and more alkalic than KC Po. A friend of mine do smoke heavily in his car, and never cleans it inside other than a swift vacuum now and then and cleaning the windshield. In the near future, when he is visiting me, I guess I`ll give him the keys for one of my cars and demand to keep his for 2-3 days. Just to test Mzr and give him a very clean car interior as a gift. He is always giving me a hand no matter what I struggle with :)
I have and feel like I need to work with it longer. I wasn’t super impressed with it especially having to use 3 products to treat with. I’ve seen better cleaning with one product like Omegazyme or Bonnet Pro Rocker Revive it
Definitely turned out better than I would have thought, for a PH neutral cleaner on such dirty fabric. Chelsea, have you tried the P&S carpet/upholstery 3 step system? You hit it with their enzyme cleaner, then their strong alkaline cleaner, then neutralize the ph with the peroxide cleaner which also brightens and prevents wicking. At least that’s the idea-I haven’t tried it. The idea is to have your cake and eat it too w/ strong cleaning with neutralizing.
That p&s system would work great on trashed fabrics but light to moderly dirty/stained its crazy how good pol star works and being ph neutral you dont have to worry about resoiling and leaving the fabric hard and not soft.
Thank You Chelsea !! a great work out for KC solutions, after making so many errors buying products that fail to deliver Im always looking for a reference before adding anything to my shopping list, I will now add these to my arsenal of detailing weapons.
Been stalking your channel for a bit! You nailed this like everything else! That superclean thing you mentioned is something I've been doing and never knew what it was! Thank you so much imma stop damaging plastics now! What is something around that price point you would recommend?
excellent work you do I wanted to ask you what soap do you use for your extractor do you use pure water or do you add soap or shampoo for folders or seats thank you very much
What do you use on light scuff marks on the door sills? I tried a magic eraser with an interior cleaner but it didn’t remove them. It didn’t damaged the plastic but it didn’t remove the marks. Thanks Chelsea!
is 5:1 dilution safe for any fabrics or cloth seats with the pol star? i see alot of people use greenstar for mats/dirty seats and pol star for the interior like door panels, plastics.
WOW, I hate to say it but people can be a little gross. Riding around in the toxic box. Really liked the way you explained the 2 products here. I discovered that Seat Belt Brush so time ago and have been hesitant to buy thinking the bristles would be too stiff (course) and could cause Damage / Fraying. Our Daily Drivers can use some seat belt love...😉
Great job! 👍👍👍 Thanks for the video. Those remaining residual stains can be removed, but NOT by the usual surfactant-based detergents and hence, definitely not by strong APCs such as Super Clean. You’ll need non-surfactant stuff such as Hydrogen Peroxide which if used correctly, will remove all those remaining stains. As for those stained old seatbelts, its a waste of time to scrub them with a brush and even undiluted APC. Surfactant-based stuff are useless in such cases. What you need is contact time. When I see such belts, I pull them out, clip the belt and put them into a container or small bucket resting on the floor….filled with diluted APC + some Hydrogen Peroxide. Just soak them for 30mins. No brushing needed. The liquid will turn colour. Wipe the belt with wet cloths and air dry. You’ll be shocked by the suppleness, newness and removal of old stubborn stains.
You gotta include the dumping of the extractor. I used to clean carpets when I was a kid and used to make sure the family sees what I extracted. It’s so nasty but satisfying!
Hi Chelsea you think I can use KC Green Star on a head liner?? its My car, I was cleaning small area on head liner and I pushed the stain causing a clean patch surrounded by the outline of dirt. I used to smoke cigars in the car and want to experiment and clean entire headliner. what u think? ty jimmy

Chelsea, I have been using the Rocket IT products you recommended, is this Koch Chemie Pol Star better because of the protection formula preventing wicking? Another great video.
At the cost I would say yes. I still prefer rocket revive it for heavy stains and organic soils but I've had some say they can't afford Bonnet Pro or can't get access to it so this is a great alternative. It's definitely top three Carpet Solutions that I would recommend
I will say I haven't tested the Resoiling conserver aspect to it and that would be hard to gauge but it would definitely one up rocket revive it as it doesn't have that capability but it does have an encap solution to it which means that future times you vacuum it it's going to continue to pull soil out of the fabric so they both have advantages that are completely different from one another so it's really based on your needs and the situation I think
Disclaimer, I’m an idiot: for the browning / wicking, there are products like Spot Stop by Bridgepoint that is an acid based w/ encap polymer additives that will be assist in eliminating browning & yellowing. Also a light odor neutralizer. do you find these Kochemie products cost effective ? they seem to work but are a little costly.
Do you think it would make a difference if you put pol star in a former to clean upholstery seats or does it work better sprayed on straight?
