⭐ VIDEO Description ⭐
I bought some used running boards from Facebook Marketplace off of a 2007 BMW X5 e70. It was a great upgrade to my 2011 BMW X5 e70 50i. Everything bolted right up.

Great job. Detailed and Easy too understand. Replacement suggestions for broken fasteners would be nice.
Thanks for making the video. Best video showing how to remove the sill cover/running board/rocker panel. I needed to know how to do this in order to acess the 2 bolts under the right fender so that I could loosen off the fender (3 or 4 screws in door jam too) at the bottom to gain access to the windscreen washer pumps. Your video helps alot.
@alfredomanuel8426 you're welcome and no problem I had to do the same thing on a 2009 BMW X5 e70. I guess I should have recorded it. Lol, I'm glad that my video could help you.
Ty for your time making this video. It helped me a lot
@@BogdanIonutPadure you're welcome I appreciate the positive comment I'm glad that my video could help you
Thanks a lot for this video, I just finished my install with the help of your video. It helped me tremendously and even though mine didn't go as smooth as yours did from the video it all came out great!
As long as you got it done that's all that matters. I'm glad that my video could help you with your project
Great video! That was everything I needed in order to learn this difficult process thanks 🙏
Thank you and I'm glad that my video could help you
great vid my man, im actually going the other way, the steps are a PITA!! Not big enough to step on, and you just gotta step out and over them to get out so end up with mud down your pants, anyway, vid was huge help, cheers bro
Thank you and no problem hope you like the look when you're finished.
I just bought an x5 and was thinking the same thing, you either trip on them or get your clothes dirty🤦🏼♀️ terrible idea for these cars
saved me a ton of time. Thank you brother.
No problem I'm glad that my video could help
❤😊👍just for looks it looks great but i need it to get in and out and OEM is too short to step on. TY for sharing ✨️
On .. like Donkey Kong. Great Instructional Video!
I'm glad my video could help you, and thank you
Great video install a set this weekend!!
I hope you like it when you install it I love mine. Make my vehicle look better
I am doing this next week. Very helpful. Thanks.
No problem I'm glad I could help!!!
Hi! I just picked up a 2012 e70 with the plastic board, similar to the one you remove. Can it be used as a step to get into the car? Is it designed to hold human weight?
No, It cannot support human weight. Only the ones I installed Can do that they have a metal brace underneath to support weight.
@@JOATD alright thanks a lot for the info👍
Great video, thanks!
Thank you, I'm glad that my video could help you.
i prefer the clean look which is the old one just my personal opinion! apart from that great video! xx
Is it the same runing board for the e70 X5 and the e71 X6 ?
Yes it's the same running board
Great job 👏
Thank you !!!!!
No problem, I'm glad that my video could help you
How much weight it can hold if someone step on it ? Approximately
I dont know exactly but I'm about 280. And it doesn't even flex when I stand on it.
How much for your old side skirts to ship to California ? If they are available . I’m trying to delete the aluminum running boards .
I have the OEM side rails, I'm located in California, let me know if interested
I’m in Winston Salem nc do u still have ur m skirts or brackets ?
I apologize but I'm just receiving this message. I just so happened to be going through my comments. But yes I still have the old side skirts. Would you like to purchase them
Just wondering, i have old side steps on mine and have just bought new one, they are like for like replacements so the deeper supporting bracket is the same. Can i just replace the sidestep overskins?
Yes you can just change the outside skin as long as the covers are the same
I only change mine cuz the Skins were different the new ones were wider than the old ones
@@JOATD cheers man! I just finished fitting mine, i love them its made such a difference
@@wurslegumage I'm glad it came out great you're right it does make a difference.
On looks best.
Yes it does
im surprised some people actually like those side steps. I do not like them aluminium joints, makes the car look old model af. I'd rather keep the blacked out joints
Don't get me wrong I like them both but the aluminum side steps makes my x5 look wider and since I have the wide rims it looks more Stout and meaner. I wanted a more aggressive look
@@JOATD i hear u brother but I personally don't see the black side bars taking away from the mean look. I might be wrong, u can confirm with other people but those aluminium bars take away from the car's aesthetics. BMW or Benz. I remember wen i was in the market for a X6, those aluminium bars were a deal breaker. That's how much i hate those. lol
@@elvzish lol, I can see it not looking as good on a X6
I dont like my running boards I want it to not have them. TRADE ANYONE?
If you're interested I still have the black running boards I took off this car we can swap or you can just buy the ones that I have you can have mine for a $100 they are in really good condition not sure how close you are to North Carolina.
