It's turning into a whodunit. Sonny killed Morgan while trying to go after Julian, Michael is beside himself, and I think Carson is over. I miss some of the old characters, too.

This one always brings a tear to my eyes. When they introduced it after so many years of the classic, I was resistant, but now, hearing the melody and seeing so many faces i loved it just gets me. Thank you!

I particularly like how they reworked the original to fit the era's more sensitive mood, creating a new song while subtly keeping the opening notes & some other melodies. (Especially as opposed to the shift to the "dueling screechy randomly-off-key saxophones" version. I never imagined a theme song could be less subtle than an ambulance siren!)

My mother loved #GH in the 90s to the early 2000s, she stopped watching in 2005 when someone got killed or something, I don't really remember; when I was growing up, whenever I heard this theme I would automatically figure out that she was watching #GH but I never knew that the building they used in the intro was real until 3 years ago when my aunt told me
No, the 1st Carly was (Sarah Joy Brown), who also played Caudia. But the Carly in this intro was (Tamara Braun) who also came back later as Kim Oscar's Mom and Drew's Ex.
She'd probably get royalties, if they still showed her image...So they had to get rid of it. But yeah, that sucks...I miss that 90's intro part, and the part when the guy falls off the boat. lol
I remember being SO little and when I'd hear this music, I'd know that it was a loooooooooong wait until Barney was on (it was, what, maybe a half an hour or an hour later?) But when you're, like, 3 it feels like forever. I genuinely came to resent this song and this show as a kid because in my toddler mind, if this show weren't on, Barney would be on sooner. Then in high school, I had a OLTL and GH phase.
Amen to them bringing back the good music! I would love nothing more than for them to bring back this version of the "Faces of the Heart" as the opening theme. It was the best and I really miss it.
