The problem is the expectation that women don't play the guitar - that that is something 'exotic' that means for those women to break gender roles (I'm talking mainly about the electric guitar, btw, and especially in rock music). I object, because I would have preferred it if the man had said "you're really good at playing!" or something. That would have been just a nice compliment like you could give to any person. Instead, he had to reduce them to their appearance - they're not following traditional gender roles and thus he feels the need to FORCE them back into their places, into their traditional gender roles. This is not fair on their effort they've put into mastering their instrument. Why the hell is how they look relevant to their passion and profession?
I guess it is a matter of context which is hard to get in another language. I still think the ability to play an instrument is one that can be considered a sexy thing without forcing someone into a traditional gender role. People are always attracted to others with great talent or skill.
