If you look at 10:35 (at the end of the line) you will see a track that goes off to the left and over the road, this connects to the main line and comes out at Preston station. I don't think it is used for anything other than transporting locos on and off the tourist line though.
@@TheTouristLine At 2:03, you can see tanker wagons locked into the siding that's just before the first level crossing - would they still get shunted in and out?
@@TheTouristLine The main line connection with Preston station isn't used for transporting locos on and off the line, it is used for the regular bitumen trains that run from Lindsey Oil Refinery to Total Bitumen Preston. The commercial freight arm of Ribble Steam Railway, Ribble Rail Ltd , transports the bitumen between the Exchange Sdgs and the bitumen plant. Is there any chance of the line extending anywhere - perhaps into Preston mainline?
