We all knew that would happen. It's like giving a painter a stack of blank canvasses and expecting him not to paint. Great job, as always. You have a knack for creating beautiful habitats for your fish.
Thank you! You've finally convinced me to get back into the hobby after many years away. I'll be setting up my new tank in January (get Christmas and New Year out of the way first) and I'm very much looking forward to that! Between you and Matt I seem to have been bitten by the bug again...
Enjoy! I started again 2 years ago after a 30 year hiatus 😊 2 betta tanks, 20 gallon long guppy tank, 85 gallon community tank. Fair to say I was bitten pretty hard...lol At least I can say I'm down from 10 tanks running this time last year 😊
Killifish tank beautiful, I work 12hr shifts 6days a week 😢 your videos and education are awesome I now have 7 tanks and am always watching to see what you’ll do next thank you, love you and Matt together your videos are fun you make me laugh with your antics 😅
I love your taste in aquascape. You do a really really good job and each tank, with lots of thought behind them, you have inspired me to carry on scaping small tanks. Keep up the amazing work, I can't wait to see the salt-water tanks.
I knew you would have to fiddle with those small tanks. It does look good, you both have inspired me to try scaping my tanks. I will never be as good as you but for a 58 old lady who just watch you both. Keep up with the videos looking forward to the next one.
I've got 4 tanks...5 gal. to 55 gal. Use your system to set them up and they are stunning heavily planted ecosystems....thanks for the tips and information...love you guys
@@MDFishTanks Got the notifications on so will be watching it as soon as it comes out!! Youre a massive insperation and got me back into aquascaping, keep the content coming!!
I love the idea of making these temporary homes something beautiful for the fish to live in and not just some water filled box with plants thrown in. You did great as always!
This has quickly become one of my favorite channels, and it's such a smart business move! And the collaboration between the 2 of you wraps everything in a nice bow 🎀 I can see you guys going so far this year and I'm just so excited to see it!! ❤
I would love to see another version of a pure red planted tank on the fish rack. You did one before and it was fascinating. I bet a red planted tank with white or silver fish would look awesome.
Oooo, I love killis! I found some golden wonders at a shop a few months back and I ADORE them. Pretty sure I got all males, though, as they each have their own spot in the tank and do not mix with each other lol. They are so much fun, and super pretty.
You know, you should make a full day video of your largest tank just so i could have it playing in the background on my tv 😉 I always play your videos on the background while am working 😁
Now you need to run a scape across 4 tanks on one one of those shelves! You’ve done it before in the old shed studio with a pair of tanks if I recall!!
Love the tanks and the studios. It's coming along quite well. I'm curious to see the difference between using root tabs and not. Maybe one video you can do a comparison? Like set up two tank, relatively similar -same stock/plant load, and then run one with the normal root tabs + liquid fert and one without the tabs and compare the plant growth. I'm just starting out myself and came across your videos and you inspired me to scape more, well, slow going bc budgeting. 😅But we all have to start somewhere! Anywho, I think you have enough tanks to run some experiments if you would like. I think the viewers would def be interested -even experiments with low lights vs high light with same fert would be interesting.
Of COURSE all those little tanks need scapes, because you need stuff to do and we need stuff to watch! I prefer more minimalist approach, but enjoy watching and really appreciate you putting the scientific names of the plants AND FISH in the videos. Who cares if it is hard to catch the fish? Just a good excuse to "rescape" and propagate plants😊 I'm sure the little fishies love their new home - and the angels in the neighbor tank have a great new view.
As a standalone tank it's nice but I personally preferred the wall of tanks as they were BEFORE you decided to individually scape them. I liked the simplicity and how with so little in the tanks the focus was almost entirely on the residents of the tanks rather than on the scape of the tank
I bought $92 USD in plants yesterday for my 29 gallon breeder tank. LOL! It's hardly enough. Unfortunately my local pet box store doesn't really do plants, only 4 came from the plant tank, the rest in plastic cylinders. I have found a website that does package deals, background mid, front plants and floaters mix. Plus the beautiful plants I want to try that aren't just swords. Very excited yet nervous I'll muck it up.
Dead right about killies needing a lid. They are terrible for jumping. Remember a shop that specialised in planted tanks in Wrexham, having a scraped tank containing Clown Killies. Problem was it didn’t contain Clown Killies, there was always more dried up dead fish on the carpet around the display, than in the actual tank.
Don’t scape them Matt. We’ve done the micro tank thing not to say I don’t like it, but I personally think you need to keep these tanks minimal as possible and focus on your large scapes. They are no longer going to function as holding tanks, but create more work and hassle for you in the long run.

I'm a simple man. I just want to see MD fish tanks in an aquascaping competition. What could possibly go wrong?
Подскажите пожалуйста. Какие параметры этого аквариума?
Just KNEW you couldn’t resist scaping those tanks. Roll on! 😂😂😂
I was counting the days lmao
😂😂😂
Hahahaha i bet so
We all knew that would happen. It's like giving a painter a stack of blank canvasses and expecting him not to paint.
Great job, as always. You have a knack for creating beautiful habitats for your fish.
I just love how the Angels are watching you do the set up 😂 they are gorgeous & I can wait to see how you set up their own tank. Thanks for you & Matt
OK, I thought I wasn't a fan of Angel fish but those koi were too funny. 😂 It's like they were taking a master class and listening to his every word!
I went to the comments cause I saw that too😂
Matt is spot-on in identifying the espei rasboras!
SPOTTED!!! 👀 New scape behind the Mbuna tank! Looks fantastic. Cant wait!😁
that is probably the prettiest decorated tank you have done!! Spot on. And its a small tank but that does not really matter...

I think this is my fav scape you have ever done. Simple but so elegant
Just love your content ! Have been a fish enthusiast and got my inspiration from this very channel.
Love this scape, watching you these past few years has inspired me to start making my own fish related content. Thank you 🙏
Can see a new video scape in the back ground when youre sat on the sofa. Can't wait to see that build!
coming soon. It's a good one.

Love your nano tank videos, given me loads of ideas for the kids first fish tank.
I love the idea of making these temporary homes something beautiful for the fish to live in and not just some water filled box with plants thrown in. You did great as always!
I like how chill the angel fish are. they just look and don't even move.
i love the dueo of you and Matt, him with the facts and you with the style, great combo exactly what i want to watch
9:51 those angels just glued to the glass, watching MD plant. 😂
Beautiful scape, and I love the supporting cast in the tank to the right :)
Absolutely superb this channel gets better and better…⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Production on this video is top tier
Stunning MD, can't wait to see the rest of the tanks and there set ups.
I think all your tanks are absolutely brilliant👍👍
beautiful scape! love it! perfect for killifish, now i need to get some killifish!
I love your orange angel fish, can't wait to see what you do with them
love the new studio and the new wall of tanks ,hi Matt

Your idea of not a lot of plants and my idea of not a lot of plants are two totally different things lol😂

I’m really glad you scaped this, it looks great. Thanks for the video.
Looks like a great wooden swan behind you up on the wall at about 12:00. 🙂
this beat had my bumping around the kitchen!

You know, you should make a full day video of your largest tank just so i could have it playing in the background on my tv 😉 I always play your videos on the background while am working 😁
Was a joy to watch 👌
Absolutely stunning as always
Love the salt water aquarium and the big fish also❤
Beautiful aqua scape , I prefer less plants myself, but all in all it came out great.
Beautiful scape for them and for us too ❤
your videos are a great way to start the day
i wonder if the air pump filters will affect the CO2 level in water and plant growth.... please keep us updated on the progress!
I love it, you make it look so easy.

Yess! All nano fish deserves scapes!!
Top video and great scape 🙌
Great video 😊 I'd do rice fish though lol
Amazing scape there too
Scaping those tanks will make it so much difficult to scoop fish later on.
The scape looks awesome though.
Very nice. What do you guys do for filters and running water to each of these tanks
I spotted a new big scape behind the mbuna tank. Was that a cheeky taster of things to come?
yes 😁
Man, you somehow are doing all the things I'm doing, but just right after I did them haha. Would love for Matt to go in-depth regarding killis though!
@MD, Could you possibly give us a costing of your tanks so we know roughly how much it would be to do the same in our own tanks?
Could have seen it coming just couldn't resist 😂😂
Matt JUST told you no carpeting plants on the fish wall! 😂
You should do more low budget tanks!
That's what I'm going to do lol
Don’t scape them Matt. We’ve done the micro tank thing not to say I don’t like it, but I personally think you need to keep these tanks minimal as possible and focus on your large scapes. They are no longer going to function as holding tanks, but create more work and hassle for you in the long run.
Love it!
Will it make it harder to catch the fish in the holding tanks scaped like that?
Yes
is there a video coming about the tank with the carpeting plants ?
I thought I missed a video and had to check. I hope it's out soon
I think your work is absolutely incredible! But I really laughed out loud, you have no idea what "Buce Theia" sounds like here in Brazil!
MD, show us your biggest/most mature aquarium plants.
No floating plants?
Sooo question besides scaping what do you do? I see these beautiful tanks but do you sell them or get orders for them?
no he makes his money off youtube
He makes RUclips videos about them. That is it. He has a pretty big following and some big sponsors. The smaller tanks in the wall are 'holding' tanks for the fish that don't have dedicated bigger tanks.
Can you make a video on how to deal with fish fries? You create so many hiding spaces I’m sure your fishes keep giving laying eggs
Inspiration abounds.
👍❤️👍
Just caught up with the vids - el classic MD scape right there
You should do a side to side tank to test all the good stuff like nutrient base, tabs, aditionals in the water VS exactly the same tank but just with sand sunstrate (or maybe aquascapesoil)
Same new filters , same new tap water, lights etc etc etc.
Matt already did that on his channel lol
Here's an idea. To bulk up the height at the back, use some coarse filter foam.
