Hikaru Utada's song "Simple and Clean" is a song we knew we had to cover once Kingdom Hearts III was released! Our group has so many gamers, so we knew this would be a fun one to do!

It's my favourite version too. I was afraid when I clicked it at first, scared of ruining the song but I am glad I listened.
Their version of that lyric is better than the original.
Well, the sopranos are actually hitting the same note. It's just that they have tenors singing an octave lower and it's loud enough for us to hear. In the original, Utada also sings an octave lower on her dubs, but since she naturally has a lighter voice and it's a background vocal, it's recorded lower than the main, higher track.
Additionally, we have to take dynamics (loud and soft sounds) into account. This group does a great job singing the first part softly, then singing the second part louder. That makes it feel like the notes are more attainable. I hope that helps. :)

They'd never make a show that they didn't completely own and control. The game was made by square Enix and their relationship got worse every game.

The copyright notice should give you enough of an indication as to how much control Disney has over its own property: "©Disney. Developed by Square Enix."
Square is just the game developer. Disney owns and publishes the games. In this sense, Disney Consumer Products basically commissioned Square to create the games. Disney has also used the Sora character, for example, inside the theme parks and on merchandise.

The emotion behind every single one of them is what makes this so great. Most of those people didn’t grow up with KH, but it’s like they took the time to understand the song. I love it.

I love the absolute sincerity and seriousness everyone has even as they're singing a song that doesn't really make sense. There's a lot of passion on display, and everyone's giving their all for this.
It's about a pair of lovers, one sees the relationship as something complicated that needs extra elements, another sees the relationship as something simple.
