    Hey Reid, have you tried playing straight BG? I've been running a list with 7 mana dorks and a mix of good 3-drops like Lilianas, Tireless Tracker and a couple of the 3 mana Nissa that pumps creatures to have a mini Gavony Township effect for the mana dorks, also playing just 2 colors makes it possible to run Field of Ruin and sometimes you can run them out of basics and just start vindicating them with Trophy. You lose Jace and Creeping Tar Pit and I am not sure if Hissing Quagmire is even worth playing, but the new Vraska is also pretty good as a 4 mana walker, she is no Jace, but honestly, what is?
    But anyway, I just tried putting as many good BG cards together, I bet you can craft a much better deck than mine, but I do think there's potential if even my random pile is doing well.

      @@DarkestFiction you basically want to play tap out with strong blue cards. My friend plays Sultai and has 3 Snapcasters, 2 search, 1 Jace as the only blue cards main. The sideboard is I think 3 or 4 counterspells. Which is just stroke and the colorless counterspell for 1 blue.

    I think if you shifted this deck be more controlling it might be better. Adding 2 Search’s, 4 Serum Visions, 3 Cryptic Command, 1 Logic Knot, 1 Mana Leak, 1 Negate, 1 Ritual of Soot, 1 Damnation, and 1 Toxic Deluge to your deck it would become better against the control and unfair decks. You would run different wraths to help against humans. More card draws means you keep much fuller hand. Then having discard to help control your opponents still sound great. Fatal Push, Assassins Trophy, and Maelstrom Pulse as removal give you a diverse pool of removal. Snapcaster will become much better in your deck too.

    @darrenhabib 5 лет назад

    If anybody is going to make Sultai work in Modern it's going to be Reid Duke. Does anybody else feel like trying the full 4 x Assassin's Trophy is at least worth a test? It feel like because of the basic land search that this card is served better in multiples, as it can run opponents out of basics to fetch perhaps after a few. Then you also have more chance of having a relevant Snapcaster Mage target. I just felt like Inquisition of Kozilek and Fatal Push are not always the best Snappy targets for a lot of matchups. *Spoiler* Then the Eldazi Tron matchup seems hard as you're trying to grind them out, but their top decks can be so powerful. If you have a couple more Assassin's Trophy, then you can legitimately potentially go for the land base. I feel like the Trophies would have been great draws in the Blue/White control matchup as well, knocking off planeswalkers and Celestial Colonnades.
