Slight quibble: Voldus is *a* Grand Master of the Grey Knights, he's not *the* Grand Master of the Grey Knights... because they have 8 of them: Chapter 666 is split into 8 Brotherhoods + the Hall of Champions (aka the Paladin order) and the Chamber of Purity (aka the Purifier order) rather than the standard companies of a Codex chapter, and Grand Masters lead those Brotherhoods. Voldus is Grand Master of the 3rd Brotherhood, and Warden of the Librarius. The council of 8 Grand Masters form the command echelon of the chapter, under the Supreme Grand Master, an elected position that requires the unanimous consent of the 8 Grand Masters, analogous to the role of Chapter Master in a Codex chapter in terms of absolute control; at present though the Grey Knights are functionally led by the council of Grand Masters and not so much at all by the Supreme Grand Master, because the current Lord of the Grey Knights is none other than Kaldor Draigo, cursed to a life trapped within the warp, only able to briefly re-enter the material universe (though more so now that the Great Rift has opened). So he's not really around much, for the day to day decision making process (but also he's very much still alive and well, so no appointing a successor).
As usual Brother Mario, thanks for the support and plugging me in on Discord every now and again. Voldus is definitely going to be in the top 2023 figs that JT has released for sure
Just waiting on my Voldus to be delivered. Also ordered the space wolves iron priest, the "new" Ultramarine Captain and the big beautiful man known as Kaldor. BY THE GRACE OF THE EMPEROR!
There was a fellow Brother who asked if Voldus's closed fist would fit on Crowe and the answer is "kind of." Voldus's fist is larger compared to Crowe's so it would look out of place on Crowe. If the Brother wants, join the Chapter Discord and I can show you a visual comparison.
Grey Knights is the best releases frim Joy Toy this far. Lovely sculpt, awesome cape and humongous book which I love. Will grab one if an opportunity opens.
my most fave line from JT warhammer is GK, followed by BT brethren then BA terminators, unfortunately im not gonna be able to snatch the Dreadknight due to its high PO price
Very interesting because your favorite line is my favorite line as well! The dread knight is an interesting figure though. I personally do not like the design of it (the miniature). However, since I have this channel of mine here, I have to get it because I know people are going to be on the fence with it and want an honest review.
@@SpruesNStuds yes you gotta get the Dreadknight im curious with its sheer size, how the pistons works and gatling gun mechanism, and of course your expertise; the paint & detils pov
Incredible figure indeed, nice paint job and details. Hard to miss this one. I recommend a reading on this guys: the emperor's gift, is a great novel. Super detailed review, thanks brother Sprues!
Yes Grand Master is an excellent figure too. He is definitely going to be a nominee in my top JT figures of 2023. I am assuming that the Emperor's Gift talks about Voldus?
@@SpruesNStuds Not really, it talks about the grey knigths chapter from a novice point of view, it is really good to learn a little bit of the warfare style of the chapter.👍
@SpruesNStuds I feel they make figurescwho were in the trailers or shows so maybe they'll make horus! I want hirus especially the lion and dorn....but number 1 angron
Yes this is a heaving hitting action fig for sure. As for the best fig...hmmm idk about that one. There are so many really cool looking figs still coming out this year

Again, thank you for the lore background. The Brothers here would definitely appreciate the clarification
I don't collect GKs but I will never regret having purchased Voldus - best figure from JT so far IMHO. Thanks for your review!

This is a fig that is worth saving for Brother Sable. You will not regret your purchase
@@SpruesNStuds I hope my wallet will survive this :)
Hmmmm I highly doubt it. My wallet is in tatters right now
I got him and he dethroned Crowe in my collection.
Oooo that's saying a lot considering that Crowe is widely agreed to be the best action fig from JT so far
Definitely one of the best so far
This is definitely a figure that is going to be in my top figs of 2023 video that I will do later on
I already have Mr Voldus, i collect all GK 😊
This one have a special place close to my computer

I ordered my guilliman in June still don't have it we need to get them to make more primarchs! Who's next? I'm going to say the lion!
It would only make sense that the Lion would be next. Given the sales and interest in G-man it would be a no brainer
@SpruesNStuds I feel they make figurescwho were in the trailers or shows so maybe they'll make horus! I want hirus especially the lion and dorn....but number 1 angron
Can Voldus' head be swapped for a GK helmet? I haven't tried yet, I was hoping someone else had tried first!
I am pretty damn sure that you can swap out Voldus's head with a helmeted version. That's the beauty of JT action figs!
dat boy iz kool!!!! best fig from JT

Control must have control 😅
Haha good luck! I have long tossed aside self control in the garbage can along with my money
