My feet get incredibly cold really fast. Even when I was younger. I bought the old Thermacells (the red ones) Three or four years ago. They worked ok, would not last on high for more than 2.5 hours though. This year I bought the green batteries, They work with old model. Easy 3.5 hours on high. I go out twice a day, so I have an extra set charging back at Camp. With the Thermacells, and in general, you want a good amount of room in your boot for stand hunting. Oh, and I have 1000 gram thinsulate boots. 2 sizes up with the Thermacells. You want the air to heat up in there. I also wear scentless antiperspirant on my feet, and wear a thinnish wool sock. Okay, so do my feet get cold still? Slightly. My feet still get slightly cold, sometimes. But a huge improvement from just the boots with thick wool socks, plus the chemical heaters stop working if they get no air. And one more point. The last hunt I was on I had the Thermacells on, but my toes were still slightly chilly. I had a set of the chemical warmers with me, and figured I would try something. Since it seemed that it was the top of my toes that were a little cold, I stuck those chemical toe warmers over the top of my toes, on the OUTSIDE of my boot. I guess because those warmers were in full contact with the air, they got much hotter than they ever did in my boot. I finally had warm feet for the rest of my hunt.

This is the best review ever...It explains exactly how to use them as far as keeping your feet warm...Having an open space around your feet is the most I mortant, having boots to tight and they will not work properly...The sporting store I bought mine from don't sell them anymore coz they had a lot of returns do to the product not working...The guy at the sporting store said he thinks ThermaCell stopped making this product...If that's true then it sucks...He and I both agree that the people who returned them saying the insouls didn't work was from improper use..Ive never had a problem with mine...They kept me in my stand from dark to dark with no problems..Warm toasty feet.

Buy warmfits from amazon 49.99, they work and last. I went through many pairs of the thermacell brand- they all broke or quit. Save your money

I have gone through 2 pairs of these and the right foot insole in both pairs failed to work after just a few uses. I returned both pairs and I will not buy any more.

Way to much money I'm 58 years old and been hunting in extreme temperatures since I was a teenager having a warm boot with the proper airflow around is the foot is the key Always by a boot a good size bigger . and leave room for a hand warmer NOT a toe warmer you can buy those things by the case cheep. $100 for insoles that barely keep your feet warm I would rather go the other way and risk of chemical burn which I've never had before . so far a couple dollars per hunt depending on how many times you hunt IN cold season you're only up the tree maximum 3 to 4 hours at a time. And you can get up to 12 hours out of a hand warmer .. and you can also turn them off by enclosing them in a airtight package like a sandwich bag tied in a knot And get two uses out of the hand warmer. I just don't see this as being worth the money at all From a experienced extreme cold weather Hunter . and then God forbid they should fail on your biggest hunt of the year who knows it's Electronics things happen but the hand warmers always work tape them to the top of your toe before you slide them into the boot works like a dream hillbilly style . Don't like the toe warmers I prefer the hand warmers and tape as opposed to the sticky toe warmers

I spent over 150$ on a set and they broke after the third use. The company would not warentee them either.

Maybe you should of done more research. They have heated socks as well and why not get it from amazon or a company with refund policies. Heck with 150 you could of bought a lifetime supply of toe warmers.

Wow, thanks very informative....how much room do you actually need...would you say a full size up? Enough room to wiggle toes...? I usually wear two socks in my boots, if i wore just a thin summer sock would that be enough room...(:

The BIG problem with them is as of this writing, the app to control them is not in the google play store. None of the contact info works either. Just got a pair like this and having to return them. Without the app, they are useless.

If anyone has ever seen a Lithium ion battery start on fire they would never put anything like this in their boot. the temperature goes to 1000 F in literally a second.

Dumb question. Do you need WiFi or cell service in order for the app to work? To change temps on the insoles?Where I hunt there is no cell service.
