    Good Video if you own an Andersen WDH . I don’t use any because my pickup truck has a huge tongue weight! And my Casita isn’t very heavy. I do use a sway bar .

    Interesting video. I had no idea there was a wear part inside the AWDH, but it looks like an easy process. Thanks

      Normally it is not a wear item but we had so many miles on it.

      I’ve looked online and can’t find anywhere to buy the Teflon sleeve. Can you suggest a place. A search on the Andersen website didn’t find any.

      @@CasitaRvLifeDid you notice an increase in sway (decreased performance of hitch) that motivated you to replace the sleeve? Or was it purely preemptive? Your sleeve definitely looked like it needed replacement.

      @CasitaRvLife  2 месяца назад +1

      I replaced it as a preemptive measure due to the number of miles we had on it.

    Love your vids. You are a wonderful instructor. Can you tell me what you do to make sure the coupler and the ball works? Do you lube the ball and coupler? It seems our Anderson is getting finicky in unhitching. Thanks.

      I spray white lithium grease on the hitch’s moving parts.

    Thanks. Mine is still new but I wondered how long it would be before it needed maintenance. Now I know what's inside!

      It takes a lot of mileage before this maintenance is needed. Andersen Hitch would not give me a mileage for the hitch but you the see the shape of mine after about 100,000 miles

    Just curious. Is the video of you traveling in the beginning of your the Hogback on hwy 12 in Utah? That's a beautiful trip. (And nowhere s as scary as some make it sound like).

      @@marksiegmann582 yes, I am actually driving at 20mph and the video is running at 2x speed. I am afraid of heights so part of it is scary to me. Been there twice one of my favorite places in the world.

    Was it necessary to replace the tapered ball? Doesn't seem like it should be necessary since the sleeve is supposed to take all the wear.

    • @CasitaRvLife
      @CasitaRvLife  5 месяцев назад

      I replace my tapered ball because of the marks on it.

      @@CasitaRvLife Have you thought why you have wear like that, my big issue with it ,mines pretty new ,did it on first pull.

    • @CasitaRvLife
      @CasitaRvLife  3 месяца назад

      Mileage, we have over 90000 miles on our Casita. Most owners probably will never have to replace the sleeve.
