- Lee Anderson lost the Conservative whip after refusing to apologize for remarks about Sadiq Khan on GB News, which the London mayor called “Islamophobic, anti-Muslim, and racist.”
Anderson, the MP for Ashfield, faced widespread criticism, leading to his suspension by the Conservative chief whip, Simon Hart.
Anderson will now serve as an independent MP.

We are in a situation where certain pressure groups are being granted special privileges whilst even minor reactions to them are being suppressed with great vigor. We are in the midst of a culture transformation which could quite easily tip into a culture revolution. Polite debate which is the foundation of a civil and peaceful society, is being suppressed. Sacking Lee AFTER the statement was reactionary, weak and is another example of how poor they are at governing.
