What a trip down memory lane. I stopped counted x-stitch in 1992 when I fell in love with needlepoint. Gave that up when I discovered papercrafting and card making etc in 2000. Great tutorial. You’re a good teacher.

I have been doing counted cross stitch since 1976. I put it away when I moved and had pulled it back out to finish some projects. It was nice seeing the video. I will have to put a picture on here to show you. It was for my ex and now its time to finish it for me. I have a huge rectangle frame to use while stitching. There is not a big enough hoop. You should try the rectangle frames you can use any size. And roll it up or down as you go. I made different length poles from sticks I bought at the store. Thanks for all your videos.
I just bought my first rectangle frame and stand today from Amazon. I'm hoping it will work a little easier. Thanks! And yes, finish the picture for you. No sense wasting all the work.

Love these type of kits. Perfect for travelling and Joy Sunday is good quality. I just stress over their complete disregard for copyright.
Do you still buy them? If I found myself stressing over the copyright I wouldn’t buy them 🤷♀️
@@sharonmarie66 Have not for ages. One kit I have was of a cat and I saw the original kit so I purchased it. Gave the other away. If I was to get one I would do a google image search to check.
@@paulinerowbury5589 I’m the same, if I’ve never seen the image as a kit for eg a dimensions image I buy, or if I recognise right away I don’t, anyway, I mostly stitch kits from reputable companies and heaven and earth designs. Just like a few easy ones now and again , even on Etsy, there are sellers selling pdf files that aren’t legit .. I think the best thing to do is, if we feel really strongly is to contact the suppliers directly but I can’t imagine ever finding out who is using the artwork and printing them ‘en Masse’ , and I guess we never will know.
If there was a US company that sold stamped canvases, I'd get them instead, but there aren't any. I struggle with counted these days because of my vision issues. I can't do linen anymore, so 11 count stamped works best. We need a US company to do aida stamped. Until then, I have to buy overseas.
@@sjtwxgirl as you are perfectly entitled to do so. Anyone who disagrees with the sale of them just be proactive and make a point of finding out who actually makes them and take it up with them. I’d imagine that would be practically impossible.

Does it say Joy Sunday on the packaging, the ones that don’t are commonly called JS wannabes . The JS kits I have state the name under the small image on the left of the girl,stitching and across the top with the ®️ sign beside it , a lot of the time these unbranded ones aren’t as clear they are a bit hit or miss, I got caught out recently and am not even starting them as the stamping isn’t great. I hope this one is a nice clear detailed image 🙂
I was starting to wonder about that. I have only gotten a few of the stamped kits, but some I bought on Amazon are unlabeled but have the same borders on the packaging. The PR packages I've received seem to be labeled as the real thing, either Spring or Joy Sunday on the web site, bit a few of the ones I bought myself are not. I've figured out Huacan isn't great, either. I'll keep an eye out. I just got in an unbranded knockoff that I want to check the ink and make sure it dissolves.
@@sjtwxgirl at least they are cheap, if you get a dud it’s not such a big deal. I don’t I tend to have stamped take over my counted, but they are so much easier to, and cheaper!
