  • Videos from the GWSR Day out with Thomas the Tank engine weekend- June 2015. I wouldn't have gone to this event but I recently purchased a new HD Camcorder so wanted to put it to the test.
The camera performed well in terms of quality but definitely needs an internal mircophone in order to improve the audio as it didn't sound great when subjected to wind- especially in the shot of 37215 at the end. That shot was actually the first railway film I have got with it (shame about the finger and wind)- hopefully there will be many more to come!!!
The weekend looked busy in both Toddington and Cheltenham Racecourse Stations so hopefully a successful bit of money made for the GWSR.
    Shots included:
-No.1 Thomas & 4270 double headed at Hailes Bridge, Didbrook Bridge and a distant shot around the general area of Hailes.
-2807 at Southam Foot Crossing in both directions.
    -37215 at Hailes Bridge.
Filmed with a Canon LEGRIA HF200.

1:45 Really shows how small Thomas is compared to 4270! Gotta love Thomas!

DALEKSLAYER1 Yeah- Thomas is a great loco!!! 4270 is pretty spectacular too. Normally a 2-8-0 Tank engine would be really ugly but 4270 is a smart looking loco.

Great video, I was working that day and saw you and another guy on top of Hailes Bridge trying to make the locos whistle at you.
When I was doing some works for Dinmore Manor, next to me was Thomas coupled to Foremarke Hall's tender. It looked tiny compared to the tender.

Hasan Mulla Thanks for the comment. My brother and I just do the whistle gesture as a bit of fun- a little toot of the horn/whistle makes the shot.
You mentioned about working on 7820- are you a volunteer at the GWSR?
