It's called boil brewing and people donit in China for white tea mostly, but people in India use it for green and first flush black Darjeeling teas, it's done in the Arab Gulf as the base for spicy chai and it's something similar as for masala chaiz though that uses mainly ceylon tea but yeah, even in nepal they do something like the spicy chai but with green tea boiled spiced and turned into a pink concentrate, the mongols make suutei tzai and that is boiled with milk like the gulf chai but with no spices, some salt, butter even and cereals added to it.
