After close observation I determined that the grapple is a beast
That tractor is one hell of a beast with that grapple on it... one mean looking S.O.B.
That looks to be a potentially very useful tough piece of equipment especially for handling all sorts of woody trash and brush type rubbish. I would also strongly agree that it is so much more comfortable and efficient to have the control for the third valve on the loader control stick.
Dam Tim that's a BEAST, very cool attachment, can't wait to see you clearing some fields.

Nice setup Tim. I would cover the two feed hoses to protect from a stray branch, cut a piece of fire hose and zip tie each end has been my fix for years
What we do is the two fittings on the tractor from factory are two female if that's what it comes with then change one of them to a male then you change ur hoses u can't hook it up wrong

I purchased the dirt/snow plow for my 870 I did not want to take the loader mt off and put the blade under carriage on it so I welded up a quick link to mount the blade on my loader I mounted a double dvr vlv on the quick link with disconnects both sides then I ran hoses up to my loader vlv then I disc the loader curl and plug in the blade.i like the way yours is plumbed
Nice set up. We run water in our back tires for ballast but this is southeast Texas we might see 32° twice a year
we use coloured cable ties to identify hoses on our loaders works quite well
that thing is going to be the bomb diggity and the crap and the cat's meow love it man can't wait to see this thing work
That grapple is the ticket for picking up brush!

We welded a plate on the back side so a branch can't come through and get the lines.

That is a nice grapple. The top clamps on the ends look like they might get bent. Maybe weld a piece of steel in there.

Hey partner, I’ve got a new 5065 coming tomorrow and I’ve already ordered the JD 3rd function kit. I’ve been looking for a grapple, what brand is that you have? Is it American made and are you still happy with it two years later?
It’s a Rakemaster completely built by John Lynn at Lynn’s industrial welding in Perry Florida. Look them up and give them a call. I would def buy another one from them.

I am sure you will be using it for a bunch of stuff besides brush and trees. Works good for tearing down old buildings and loading them in a roll off dumpster.
I wonder how much weight the front axle and steering can handle before it starts to see damage or increased wear?I remember our Ford 4600 after we added a loader on it the front end went to pot pretty quick.

We run 90 inch grapple rake on our 6125m and I can keep up with the dozer clearing land

What a rig.. Will this type fit my 8441 Zetor 90 Hp, $1000.00 for the kit, how much for the Grapple, $2500.00 and where can i find one ? Thanks, See Ya Texas
The valve is around $900 I think and as long as u have a power beyond port, it will work. The grapple is around $2,800 and you can find it by looking up Rakemaster in Perry Florida.
Think that tractor can handle that with big brush and logs

The valve is a WR Long and the grapple is a Rakemaster. Rakemaster is a small family company and they build good stuff, I highly recommend them.

Tim, FYI, you probably already know but if you build a rear counter weight.....solid steel weighs 492 lbs./cu. ft. and solid concrete weighs 150 lbs./cu. ft.

I was actually wondering about that yesterday. It's a big difference in weight between those two.
I was just outside having a smoke and a beer watching this video there is no wind and a tree just fell down and jumped two deer can i borrow that thing looks like a nice to do some clean up. right now the dog is barking at the deer hope he don't wake up the the kids

Tim - the doctors, lawyers, and their wives who haven't run equipment since they were big enough to push the clutch in and sit on the edge of the seat might live longer if the get all the ballast that they possibly can in their tractors wheels.. Weight wide and low - wheel weights and tire ballast, gives the inexperienced operator the best chance to not find out what happens when their center of of inertia gets wider than the wheels. Please help them keep the dirty side down.
