Wow 159 euros ,in Canada CDN$ 106.00 .i built it with a slightly different cabinet 30 liters... The bass is wonderful ,not boomy and has a midrange to die for and the highs are not overbearing. Good show ! Thank you for introducing us to this fantastic and affordable project ! ?
For the name, my suggestion would be: Alienor. - after Queen Alienor (Aliénor), who was queen of France and then queen of England. (Two countries representing the two ports). Also, she was the mother of Richard the Lionheart, who without a doubt is the most legendary king ever to grace England's throne. Let's give birth to a new legend, successor to Le Petit! ;) (Aliénor, daughter of Jürgen, sister of Maya....) 😍✨
@@iam_mad I can understand that but The question was where to buy The Fostex units? The Dutch firm that imports them is not really service oriented. “ I do not sell to The endcustomer only to retail customers“. Is there a German online shop?
Thank You for Your comment Matt! I know the MA drivers are popular right now... Let my explain: The Petit is something developed after a certain signature, with the goal of musicality and life like experience. This You get only with the Fostex drivers, that where made for. 🥰 If You are searching for the HiFi-Experience with super - linear drivers, You don´t need to make the Petit, or worse, put an MA into the Petit. Make a Speaker fit for the MA. 😉
It can be driven with little Watts, but I recently tend much more towards the FE-126 NV, which would be the better choice if You go for a low wattage amp. (The FE-126 sounds also more towards the good old Fostex Sound, the FF-125 is more the "modern neutral")
Would I be correct in saying this is a speaker primarily for classical listeners? I can't stomach a speaker that does not extend well into the 30s, better if its the 20s. No subs, no bookshelves, just nicely aligned tower power for me.
Hi again Mad Guy, like I said in the comment on the German video I repeat the name ISABELLA. The christian name of Peter Paul Rubens‘ first wife 😉 I’m looking forward for the finished ISABELLA 🍀
Interesting project, looking forward to see how it turns out. If your 2nd version will have 2 ports, you could call it "Les Deux".
I forgot to mention it should be in french, but You got it right! So double thanks for the interesting name! 😊
Superb name choice! :)

Very interested to see this next speaker experiment. I've got the plans for Janas, La Grande speaker and plan to build a pair.
La Grande will be a bit different to this one, but I am also very excited about La Grande as well! 👌👍

Where can you buy The speaker units?
Thank You for the interest, Unfortunately I will not sell this speaker, but You can get the Fostex driver and build it by Yourself ☺

How would you say "not quite so petite" in French; or even "used to be petite" ??
Le "pas tout à fait si petit" getting complicated 😄
What is the minimum watts for the Fostex 125wx?

Bei der Petit hat das Baffle einen großen "Schallanteil", Assymetrie würde Auslöschungen verursachen 😉
