*My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*

Tandem pump with a dexcom G6 has changed my life after 20 years carrying a T1D diagnosis. That is not an exaggeration. Also did for my husband who can sleep not worrying my blood sugar is dropping out of control overnight.

@tablesalt2628 most pumps will calculate the dose based on carbs entered. This pair also calculated what is needed to adjust blood sugar. He will have to be engaged with it regardless, just saves some calculations.

Diabetic for over 50 years. When I was first diagnosed I had to pee into test tubes and drop a tablet in to get some vague idea of what my BS was. Control IQ with Dexcom G6 is a total game changer. Seriously, I would drive out to San Diego to thank them personally if the pandemic wasn't here. One other thing they should point out is that the CGM lets your spouse sleep rather than worry that you might be dying in your sleep.

Great video! My T1D diagnosis was in 1963. Over the years I have worn 3 Medtronic, 1 Asante SNAP and 1 Animas Vibe pump, and have used Dexcom sensors since 2010. I began wearing the t:slim X2 in 2019 and began using Control IQ in February 2020. It's great for someone who has had severe hypoglycemia unawareness since the 1970s.
This video provides a concise description of the differences between T1 and T2 diabetes and it shows what people with T1D must do to control their disease. I will recommend the video when people ask about my pump or want more information about diabetes.

Because greedy business people have the mentality of "it's not broken why fix it?". If it is smart or not they still sells, because nobody else is doing it and clients need their products.
The same happens with calculators, while schools keep asking for an old dumb expensive pocket computer, when your phone is thousands times smarter they will make no changes

Competition causes change in the market. Medtronic has been force to innovate because of Tandem. Islet has forced Tandem to make a smaller system for kids. Everyone is trying to edge the other out. The hardest and most expensive part has been the process for FDA approval. Less time in this process will encourage faster release to the consumer. The number of phases and size to testing and the final approval of each phase makes it a long process. If the product is not perfect in some cases it is years wasted. This causes more of the hesitation to roll out new products. If Apple or Tesla had to do the same we would not have the current revolutionary products.

Bluetooth and Wifi, while i can understand their desire for simplicity, both of thse connections are extremely unsafe. Bloutooth is easily hacked/jammed, and wifi can be jammed very easily. In most countries jamming devices like these are illegal. But everyone who rely on these devices should know that these devices are not 110% fool proof.

    🇦🇿🇬🇧Dear friends,
On July 12, 2020, the Armenian forces launched an attack against Azerbaijan in violation of the existing international laws. The attack took place in the village of Tovuz with an effort to capture the strategically positioned lands. Although the attack was repelled in first 24 hours, four Azerbaijani soldiers lost their lives in the line of duty.
On July 13, 2020, in response to the attack, the Azerbaijani forces initiated a series of retaliatory attacks, which led to the destruction of the Armenian military equipment.
On July 14, 2020, Armenia launched more strikes against Azerbaijan, killing seven servicemen, including an Army General and Colonel. The Armenian strike also killed a 76-year-old civilian Aziz Azizov, a resident of Aghdam village.
Unfortunately, this incident is not an unprecedented one. Since 1990s, Armenia has consistently resorted to brutality and violence which led hundreds of innocent civilians lose their lives. Armenian troops keep ignoring the ceasefire agreement and continue to put the lives of civil people in danger, while Azerbaijan is, as always, ready to do anything to protect its people and territories.
Lastly, Azerbaijan would never engage in a fight outside of a conflict region (as you can see in the map), since that could lead to an involvement of The Collective Security Treaty Organization in that conflict. #Karabakh #Azerbaijan #Armenia
